Busy Signal talks about getting Arrested In Trinidad - OnStage Interview with Winford Williams - @BusySignal_Turf
It is regrettable that this incident has happened, however, Busy Signal and Turf Music Entertainment stand by their initial statement “we were not aware of the monies owed to Peppers Entertainment Limited.”
Juke Boxx Productions has disclosed that they received USD $30,000 for the show. Bank transfers, which were made available to Turf Music Entertainment via the promoter, indicates that USD $37,088 was sent.
Furthermore, after severing ties with Juke Boxx, documents relating to this show were never forwarded to Turf Music Entertainment; whether in print, email or hard copy format. Juke Boxx also mentioned that Busy Signal received a deposit of USD $22,500 (after deducting their 10% fee of US $2,500). This would bring the total to $25,000 USD. It therefore stands to reason that $5,000 USD paid by the promoter to Juke Boxx is still unaccounted for and was never paid to the artiste.
As it relates to the court documents, it is evident that Juke Boxx actually received $37,088 and not $30,000 as they stated, that $7,088, is also unaccounted for and was never paid to the artiste. It is indeed true that the promoter was in breach of the contract as referred to in their release:
(4. If PURCHASER fails or refuses to comply with any of the material provisions contained in the Contract or this Rider, including but not limited to filing or refusing (A) to proceed with the presentation of the engagement which is the subject of the Contract (B) To make payment (s) has set forth in this Contract on or before the dates and times specified or otherwise defaults in performing any obligations under this agreement, the ARTISTE and Juke Boxx Productions shall be entitled to retain said deposits as liquidated damages).
However, realizing the harsh economic times, Busy Signal agreed to refund the promoter $9,000 USD in 2013 (referred to in the penultimate paragraph of Juke Boxx’s statement).
With all the information that has now come to light, Busy Signal and by extension Turf Music Entertainment is therefore requesting that Juke Boxx Productions release the original contract along with all bank statements of monies received from Pepperrs Entertainment Limited regarding this event.
We therefore advise, that collecting on someone’s behalf without full disclosure can create confusion and lead to unpleasant consequences.
The wife of the late veteran reggae artiste, Gregory Isaacs, is set to reveal a mural for Isaacs Today (July 15th 2015) in Downtown Kingston – between Charles Street and Orange Street. June Isaacs shared, “Gregory Isaacs is still very dear to my heart, and this is a way for others to remember him for his music, performances and songwriting”.
The ceremony will highlight the music and charitable work done by the veteran along with tributes from friends of the music fraternity. June added “this is slated to be a remembrance of all that Gregory has contributed to music and several communities; he was a great man that aimed to make positive changes wherever he went”.
The legendary Gregory Isaacs is known for singles such as ‘Night Nurse’, ‘Number One’ and ‘Hot Stepper’ just to name a few. It has been 6 years since Gregory Isaacs’s passing and his fans still very much appreciate his music. His foundation The Gregory Isaac Foundation was formed after his passing in 2011 by June Isaacs and was done in an effort to continue his charitable work.
The core focus of the foundation is child welfare and anti drug/violence messages which are highlighted every November – Drug Awareness Month. The main beneficiaries are the Walkers Place Safety, St. Barnabas Early Childhood Institute, Black Harmony Basic School and the National Council for Drug Abuse.
The unveiling of the mural for the late Gregory Isaac is set to begin at 4pm and end at 6pm.

Wiz Khalifa 'See You Again' Tops Hot 100: Jamaican Cheerleader OMI Make Gains - @OmiMusicOnline @Wizkhalifa
It’s not even a “See You Again” for Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth and the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100: it’s that they’re never leaving. For the 12th nonconsecutive week, the Furious 7 soundtrack single has topped the charts – but new singles from OMI, Jack Ü with Justin Bieber and Rachel Platten are coming up quickly as summer gets hotter.
“See You Again” ties the record for the longest rap No. 1 (with The Black Eyed Peas‘ “Boom Boom Pow“) but the single does it with fairly unremarkable numbers, leading neither sales, streams nor radio play. However, Khalifa is doing just well enough in all three major metrics to hold off OMI’s “Cheerleader” from the top spot.
The meteoric rise of “Cheerleader” continues this week, as OMI’s surprise hit single rises one spot, unseating Taylor Swift‘s “Bad Blood” at No. 2. “Cheerleader” leads digital downloads this week, with 170,000 songs sold and rises up 19 percent in streams. Billboard reports that “Cheerleader” follows “See You Again” by only a slight margin, so a new No. 1 next week is not unfathomable.
OMI isn’t the only new artist to have a quick vault to the top of the charts – Silento‘s dance hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” also continues its huge climb this week, rising up four positions from No. 4 to No. 3. Thanks to the help of Vine, “Watch Me” hit No. 2 on streams and sold 127,000 copies this week with a No. 3 showing on digital downloads.
With the newbies taking over, Taylor Swift’s one-week No. 1 “Bad Blood” fell to No. 4 this week, followed by another former chart stronghold Fetty Wap‘s “Trap Queen,” which sits at No. 5. The Weeknd‘s new soon-to-be hit single “I Can’t Feel My Face” holds its No. 6 position.
Other familiar songs take up Nos. 7 and 9, with Walk the Moon‘s “Shut Up and Dance” clocking in at the higher position and David Guetta‘s “Hey Mama” rising slightly to No. 9.
Between the chart veterans, two new songs broke into the top 10 this week. Justin Bieber returns to the top 10 for the first time in two years, thanks to his Jack Ü collaboration “Where Are Ü Now.” Thanks to the song’s artsy music video, which dropped on June 29, “Where Are Ü Now” rocketed up to No. 5 on the Streaming Songs chart and also saw increases in sales and radio play. This landed the song a new heightened position at No. 8.
One of music’s most volatile relationships may finally be ending. Chris Brown confessed that he’s not looking to date Rihanna ever again – because he cares too much about her. What a mature move, Chris!
Chris Brown, 26, had something major to get off his chest: he loves Rihanna, 27, so much that he had to make the tough decision to never be with her again, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. While Chris will always love Rihanna, he just can’t bear to break her heart another time.
Chris has been defined largely by his on-again, off-again relationship with Rihanna, including the terrible night in 2007 after the Grammy Awards when he brutally injured her. In the years since, they’ve forged a friendship and flirted back and forth with a relationship, but it’s never worked out because of his womanizing ways. Now Chris is saying that he just can’t get back together with Rihanna and give her any more grief than she’s already faced. He loves her too much.
“He knows who he is, an insider toldHollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. He knows he loves women and knows he could have just about any one he wants. He realizes that and the last thing he’d ever want to do is hurt his precious Rihanna and not give her what she wants — which is love and a monogamous commitment.”
It’s a very sweet declaration. He wants Rihanna to be happy, with or without him in the picture. Chris has owned up to his reputation and accepted the fact that he can’t handle monogamy; if that’s what Rihanna’s after in a relationship, then they can’t be together. It’s admirable that he can let someone he loves so deeply go to give her that.
Chris Brown Confesses It’s Difficult To Love
Chris’ love for Rihanna has outlasted his other, high-profile relationships that have dominated his life. In his most recent relationship with Karrueche Tran, 27, Chris hasn’t had much luck keeping things together. After spending the July 4 weekend with Karrueche, Chris posted a photocaptioned with a message (to his lady?) about how it’s “easy to hate, but difficult to love.”
He’s never written a truer sentence! Now that he’s finally let Rihanna go, it’s possible, though, that he can truly embrace his relationship with Karrueche and mend their broken union. They’ve got a lot to work through!
