Macka Diamond Turns Up The Heat In The Dancehall

In the meantime, Macka's popular single 'Forty and Fabulous' jumped several places to land at #8 on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts, while the controversial single, 'Kill The Black One', is creating a firestorm on the Internet, racking up over 10,000 views on youtube after only seven days. Another song, Mi Bless, on the Chase Mills Records-Pusha Yute Records imprint, is also generating a lot of airplay on IRIE, ZIP and HITZ.

"The hard work is finally paying off. The diss song, which is directed at rival deejays Spice and Pamputtae, also got several forwards at the popular Magnum Container Saturdays event on Regent Street in Denham Town.

Macka Diamond also launched her book, 'Bun Him Part Two', the sequel of her popular debut novel, 'Bun Him' at Sangster's in the Mall Plaza last week. She then did two book signings, one in New Kingston and the other in Montego Bay, St. James.

She performed at Jamaica Observer staff party in Kingston, and made a cameo at the Jamaica Observer staff party in Montego Bay. She is booked to appear at a show at GT Taylor's Christmas Xtravaganza and the highly anticipated 'Sting 2012' in Jamworld Entertainment Centre, and in Guyana on a show called 'Dancehall Engagement' on December 29th.

"I am getting a lot of calls from promoters overseas, crazy emails ah come to me so the whole 2013 looks promising," she said.

She will host her birthday party on January 12th at Waves Beach in Portmore, St. Catherine. After that, she will jet out for a club show on January 18th in Florida. Other confirmed shows include a March 2nd show in New Jersey.

"I have a string of dates lined up for February for the Macka Diamond-Stone Love tour with Geefus. I am getting a lot of calls about it. So right now, mi ah tek it to dem wicked inna the streets," she said.
