International Songstress, Barbee, brings You Exclusive Access Inside Her Invasion of BET HHA 2011

The songstress embraced not only the hot black carpet where she mingled amongst other celebrities, as well as, conducted interviews with V103, Hip Hop Weekly, 106 N Park and more media outlets. On the carpet, Barbee discussed her musical keen and talent while discussing the excitement surrounding being in the company of her peers abroad in the Music, Sports and Entertainment Industry. Jamaica's own, also enjoyed the nightlife events including parting with New York Knicks own, Amare Stoudemire, as well as, attended the T.I and Diddy party at Compound and Young Jeezy’s birthday party at Mansion Elan.

Barbee presents her exclusive BET Hip Hop Awards photogenic recap with stars that include Nelly, Erikah Badu, Busta Rhymes and Wiz Khalifa amongst other celebs.

Barbee expresses excitement on being able to travel the world as an entertainer, “I have been blessed to travel abroad and meet some of the most talented individuals within the industry. It was nothing but a world of opportunity and an exciting experience to be able to attend the BET Hip Hop Awards to witness honoring America’s most talented and driven individuals. I am eager for my peers and the world to learn and see more of my movement on an international level.”

Born in New York of Jamaican and Nigerian parents, singer Barbee spent her early years in Jamaica and Nigeria and was schooled in Jamaica, Nigeria and New York. Barbie symbolizes endless change but constant quality. In this regard Barbee the singer is much like her doll counterpart. Barbee was born Faith J Eselebor.

From as early as five years old young Barbee developed an affinity for music and by the time she was age 11 she was the leader of her traveling choir Perfect Praise. Five years later at age 16 Barbee formed a singing group called “Best Kept Secret”, which saw her writing songs and using beats from producer Just Blaze. Barbee and her group soon made a mockery of the name ‘Best Kept Secret’ as there was nothing hidden about their talent which was exhibited for all to see at the talent shows performances and other venues.

It was obvious that they could not be contained and it wasn’t surprising when they started opening for many different comedians and rappers. Barbee was very active in school starring in many of the plays, while working with the group. When Barbee turned 19 she decided it was time to go solo and she did that in a big way by recording her first single “Missing You” featuring VP recording artist Junior Kelly. The single received tremendous airplay throughout the Caribbean the northeast United States, South Florida, Canada, Nigeria and West Africa. It was number 3 on the charts in Jamaica and became a street anthem. The Missing You music video received critical acclaim all over the world, the video showed the beauty of Jamaica.

More recently, Barbee has received international accolades for teaming up with Miami's own Diamond Princess (Trina) with her latest single "Come See About Me," in which introduces her and her musical talent to the states. She continues to work on new music while travelling the world expanding her fanbase and success as an entertainer.
