Pappa Biggy, has been what we term 'missing in musical action' or "temporary musical retirement', however, he now sets to make a return to the musical frontline. He's currently planing the official "Return to the Frontline" album release party, at JP's Night Club in New Haven CT. The event which set to take place on September 26.2009. Not only will September 26 be the launch party, the album will also hit stores the very same day, with the world wide distribution being commissioned by Moodies Records, of Bronx New York, Ernie B's Reggae in California, Black Arrow in London England and Lifeforce International in Jamaica. He his also in tune with the moving times as he, is ensuring the fast trend of Mp3 downloads are also taken care of, with MP3 downloads available at Amazon, Lime Wire, Itunes, Rhapsody, Lala, Shock Hound, E-music, Amy Street and CD Baby.
According to Papa Biggy "the album is comprised of a little of everything culture, dancehall and lovers rock" he adds "It's inspirational and educational while very entertaining at the same time". He continues to add that, "my inspiration for doing this album came from many different sources which is evident in each track. First and foremost from GOD also from my life experiences both good and bad, the mistakes I have made and progress I have made spiritually as a person and from my everyday experience of life in general," he explains to OutAroad.com.
Return to the Frontline consist of 14 tracks, some of which are -- Better Life, Crime Wave, Hail Brethren, Reconcile and Family Ties. The first single off the album CRIME WAVE, which is set to be release later this month on LIFE FORCE Production Label, and will available worldwide. Papa Biggy, informed OutAroad.com that he has been mainly writing, producing, recording and getting ready to hit the stage later this year. His first show is scheduled for Oct.17, 2009 in Atlanta Georgia USA. Papa Biggy reminisces on the last time he performed in Jamaica, which was several years ago, at Culture in October 2000, at what was then known as Skateland in Half Way Tree Kingston. On that show he shared stage with veteran artists such as Sizzla and Ninja Man, just to name a few. Papa Biggy is anticipating his return to the stage with a new energized vibe. He believes that for the future the sky is the limit, and his fans can expect an explosion of conscious lyrics and good music.
