Mystic Soul was born Winston Hall, in Kitson Town, St. Catherine. He relocated to Waterhouse when he was nine years old. Mystic Soul remembers fleeing from Waterhouse because of gang violence to live in Bridgeport in Portmore, St. Cathrine before moving to live the United States in the late 1990s. Mystic Soul considers himself blessed to be where he is today because he did not succumb to the obstacles and violence young boys face growing up in Waterhouse and the inner city communities.

Moving to live in America meant a new beginning for Mystic Soul and he wanted to make most of it. He wanted to become a professional singer. This was a dream he had long cherished before moving, as he had actually recorded a few songs for producers in Jamaica such as Jack Scorpio & Winston 'Weepow' Powell of Stone Love. However it was not easy to get a start in the music biz in Miami, so he worked in the construction industry for a while. He eventually did a stint with a reggae band, but he eventually parted company with the band after three years because of creative differences.

Mystic Soul got the opportunity he had always yearned for when his childhood friend Danny B introduced him to Wayne Russell and Raphael Logan of Lyric Surge Records in 2007. He delivered an awesome performance when he auditioned for the label, which resulted in him being signed to the label. Since signing with Lyric Surge he has recorded several songs for the label that is owned by a team of song writers.

The company was in search of a strong vocalist with a reverence to reggae music, to record their rich collection of songs and found the perfect match in Mystic Soul. His debut album "I am the One," is scheduled to be released soon.

The album captures the richness and sincerity of Mystic Soul's voice, with songs that visit a variety of topics ranging from romance and heart break, to a nostalgic rallying cry for Jamaicans living in the Diaspora to come home and help rebuild Jamaica. The title track I Am The One is a soulful love song that will connect with females all over the world declaring that chivalry is still alive.
