Jay-Z Defends "Super-Passionate" Kanye: "He Didn't Kill Anybody"

jay-kanye.jpgJay-Z doesn't think Kanye West is a "jackass" - just "super-passionate."

The rapper defended his protégé on BBC Radio for ambushing Taylor Swift at Sunday's Video Music Awards and says the whole situation has been blown out of proportion.

Top Moments: Kanye interrupts, Serena curses and True Blood licks the egg

"Of course it was rude, because it was her moment, but that's the way he really felt," Jay-Z said. "I think it was rude, but the way they're treating him... He's on the cover of every paper. He didn't kill anybody. No one got harmed."

Kanye calls Taylor Swift to apologize

West has since personally apologized to Swift, who accepted his apology, meaning it's time for everyone to move on, Jay-Z said.

"I don't think he should lay low," he said, referring to West's announcement on The Jay Leno Show to take a break. "I think he should move on and have a brilliant career."

You forgot to mention: White Congressman Joe Wilson, against house rules of decorum, calls President Barack Obama a liar during a congressional address.

Jay-Z should shut up because if beyonce was on stage accepting her award and Kanye had come out and interrupt her and say Taylor Swift had he best video, his all would be kicked that night for dissing his so-called wife.

Jay-Z stop fronting...Kanye is a big jackass and a big...p...y. It only shows that money don't make you have class.

How could Jay-Z defend the indefensible? When a man continually engages in jackass behavior, he must be called out on it, not defended simply because he is a close friend or colleague.

Kanye ruined a very important moment in Taylor Swift's career in music. She was there to receive her very first MTV VMA. Not only did Kanye rudely interrupt her speech, he also made a statement which implied that she did not deserve the award. Taylor looked as if she was about to burst into tears. What Kanye did to her was downright disrespectful.

Taylor had no say in the confering of the award, so she did not deserve to be treated that way. I am positive if it were Kanye onstage to receive his first MTV VMA, and someone disrespected him like that, he would have thrown a hissy fit and behaved like a little bitch!!

Beyonce should be commended for her gesture later in the show when she called Taylor to complete her speech. That is class! Beyonce knew that Taylor was hurt by the treatment she got earlier, and she sought to correct it.

Kanye and Jay-Z have lost respect in my eyes for having no class and supporting assinine behavior. They should be ashamed of themselves. Even if what Kanye said were true, that was not the time or place to discuss it.
