The unmistakable bass voice perfectly perched on the 'riddim' gives way a masterful delivery of prolific lyrics that could only be executed by dancehall's finest talent, Sheldon 'Aidonia' Lawrence. Powered by the success of his current hit 'Hundred Stab' on the Sky Daggering riddim by Equinoxx Productions, the innovative deejay is currently touring Europe for a series of performances across the major cities.
Eager to please his insatiable core of dancehall fans in Europe, Aidonia is extensively touring the continent for the next three weeks with scheduled stops in hot spots such as Padova and Milano in Italy, Copenhagen in Denmark, Toulouse in France, Berlin and Mannheim in Germany amongst others. The first major and even more noteworthy, the first headline tour for Aidonia, he also welcomes French sound system 'Soul Stereo' along for the journey.
One of the most famous and respected European sound systems, Soul Stereo is the region's leading authority in Jamaican music and tour extensively across the world delivering their unique sound. The French based selectors have worked with some of the industry’s premier talents including Black Uhuru, Mykal Rose, Capleton, Natasja Scrul among others and with Aidonia now in Europe, it was only natural that the two would cross paths says Soul Stereo foundation member Rico, "We respect his music and the energy that he brings to the stage. We are very happy to be a part of this tour with him" he says.
Although he has visited Europe on prior occasions, this will be the deejay’s first visit to Germany and Italy where his work and popularity precedes him, "There are a lot of Aidonia fans in Germany and Italy and although this is his first trip there, he has a steady fan base who can't wait to see him hit the stage…" says a representative of his management team, "He is a rising commodity on the international dancehall scene and this is a grand opportunity for him and Jamaican music in general to reach a wider and more diverse audience."
Promoted by Soul Vybz Music & Almighty Reggae, the ‘So Sick’ tour with Aidonia featuring Soul Stereo began on February 21st in Lecce, Italy and will end March 28th in Toulouse, France. Since his debut some years ago, Aidonia has been a prominent feature on the local and international dancehall market. His success is measured by a veritable list of hits including ‘Cardinal Point’, ‘Bicycle’, ‘Bukam Bukam’, ‘Lolly’, ‘Send Fi Di’, ‘Give It Up’, ‘Straight Happiness’, ‘Nuh Start It’, ‘Uccubit’, ‘Wats Up’ among others.
This tour comes on the heels of multiple travels for Aidonia who has been waving the dancehall flag all across world stage including US, Canada, France, England, USVI, Antigua, Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Trinidad, Barbados and more.
