Lil Wayne 'takes shots at 50 cent' on new mixtape

lil-wayne-50-cent-mix-tape.jpgRapper Lil Wayne has sparked rumours of a feud with 50 Cent after making disparaging comments apparently aimed at the 'In Da Club' star on a new mixtape.

The 'Lollipop' hitmaker appears to take lyrical jabs at his rap rival on a freestyle titled 'Louisianimal' from his The Drought Is Over mixtape.

On the track, he raps: "All about a dollar, f**k two quarters" - lyrics understood by fans to be a swipe at 50 Cent's stage name.

Lil Wayne continues to take aim at the superstar's endorsement of Vitamin Water, saying: "B**ch, I'll pour syrup in that Vitamin Water."

He goes on to add: "I hope you die ugly, and tonight will be gorgeous."

P. Diddy Wants To Be Bond

By Mack Rawden

In the immortal words of Tracy Morgan, Bond, Lamont Bond. Fresh off the election of Barack Obama, Sean Puffy Combs has announced his campaign to take over for current James Bond actor Daniel Craig. The thirty-nine year old hip-hop mogul/ restaurateur/ father of five is almost legendary at this point for venturing into dozens and dozens of money making ventures which run the period table from music to fashion. You can’t fault a guy from grabbing those dollar bills.

According to Music-News, Combs recently spent almost a million dollars making a YouTube video to advertise his new cologne and audition for the next James Bond movie. Unfortunately for Combs, Quantum Of Solace debuted to the tune of seventy million dollars, meaning Daniel Craig will more than likely reprise his role in the next film.

Speaking about the possibility of having a black James Bond, Daniel Craig said, “I think the role could easily be played by a black actor, because the character created by Ian Fleming in the 50s has undergone a great deal of evolution and continues to be updated."

Let’s be clear: Sean Combs will never play James Bond in an actual studio-funded film, but I wouldn’t be surprised if somewhere down the road James Bond was given a little more soul.

Shaggy - "Bad Man Don’t Cry"

Dancehall Superstar Shaggy will be premiering his "Bad Man Don't Cry" video at Mass Camp on Saturday November 29 2008, at Asylum’s 11th Anniversary party.

Shaggy and Jay Will bring you yet another thriller. Bad Man Don’t Cry was shot entirely in Jamaica, which features a variety of Jamaican celebrities in the cast. The video tells a story of a Don and his right hand man (Shaggy) who is messing around his girl. It so happens that Shaggy the Mr. Lover, Lover deejay falls in love with the Don’s sweetheart and could not control his emotions so he had to seek counseling. By this time, the Don has already had a hunch that someone in his organization is messing around with his girl so he goes on a rampage trying to figure out who exactly it was.

"The new video Bad Man Don't Cry gonna be 10 times hotter than Church Heathen. If you liked what you saw on Church Heathen you will like this even more,” Shaggy told in a boastful tone of voice.

According to the director Jay Will, "this video has a star studded cast of celebrities all playing unique roles within the story line of the video. The tune is different and the video goes along well with intense drama and surprises every 30 seconds throughout. I truly believe this is one of my best music videos so far and I hope the people will feel the same".

Shawty Lo Blames T.I. For Dirty Awards Trouble

By: Daniel Melia

ti_gun_shot_hiphop_rapper_america.jpgShawty Lo has blamed T.I.'s inability to "contain his people" for the scuffle that forced police to shut down the Dirty Awards in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday.

The fourth annual hip-hop prizegiving had to be halted by authorities after fights erupted between the two stars' entourages.

The trouble began when Shawty Lo took to the stage to perform Don't I - his version of Ain't I, a track originally recorded by T.I.'s artist Yung L.A., which takes shots at T.I.'s Grand Hustle crew.

But the D4L rapper insists he didn't instigate the violence - and claims it was Live Your Life hitmaker T.I.'s fault for not doing enough to prevent the fights.

By Krazy Katty Writer

vybz_kartel_konshens_guyana_photos.jpgNow-a-days everyone seems to be asking the same question about Konshens. Is he a member of the Vybz Kartel-led Portmore Empire?

According to a source, “the other day both artistes were booked for a show in Guyana along with Spice, D’Angel and Erup. The way how di man dem flex with each other you would think Vybz Kartel a Konshens daddy”.

The source also mentioned that both Vybz and Konshens took many photos together as if it was a family reunion. also understands that Konshens has posted these photos on his myspace page as well.

A couple of nights ago at the Sting’s launch Vybz Kartel said big up yuh self Konshens and Danny English. However, during a radio interview recently on ZIP FM, the interviewer asked Konshens, what are his thoughts of Vybz Kartel and Mavado and who will win the clash at Sting this year (2008)? Konshens then quickly replied, “Vybz Kartel will definitely win the clash”.

However, when contacted Konshens it seems to be a not so synchronize story.
“Sherlock mi come from, only inna sports mi pick side, Kartel a di baddest lyricist in the history of dancehall and everybody know dat,….Mavado however, has one a di most powerful voices in dancehall. Both have my respect, but mi nuh pledge allegiance to none a dem, mi nuh Empire or Alliance, the only group I’m in is Sojah!

Fugees Producer And Rapper John Forte Granted Pardon By President Bush

Halfway through a 14-year conviction for drug trafficking, musician is one of 14 people to receive pardons.

By Gil Kaufman

John-forte.jpgRapper and former Fugees producer John Forté was one of 14 people pardoned by President Bush on Monday, according to Reuters. He had been serving a sentence of 14 years in prison since 2001, after being found guilty of possession of 31 pounds of liquid cocaine with intent to distribute.

The presidential pardons, which were for offenses ranging from distribution of marijuana to unauthorized use of a pesticide, cannot be overruled and can help the recipients find jobs, live in public housing and vote. Bush has received more than 2,000 requests for pardons, which typically come fast and furious near the end of a president's term.

Forté - who studied violin at the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire as a youth - co-wrote and produced two songs on the Fugees' Grammy-winning 1996 smash, The Score. Two years later, he released his debut, Poly Sci, on which Fugees member Wyclef Jean has an executive-producer credit.

Forté was arrested in 2000 at Newark International Airport after accepting a briefcase containing $1.4 million worth of cocaine. He released his confessional second album, 2002's I, John, while already serving his sentence at Pennsylvania's Lorreto Federal Penitentiary.

However, this morning Deva Bratt’s management team sent us an email explaining that it was just a misunderstanding - Deva Bratt is alive and well.

Deva Bratt's Management Team (PRGirlAngel):
"Yes, there was a minor incident that occurred Sunday morning, however Deva Bratt was *not* stabbed, and is *not* hurt. The incident has obviously been blown out of proportion.

Was Deva Bratt attacked because of controversial song he recently voiced?
Although rumored that the incident started due to controversial songs on a Cash Money Mixtape titled "UNEXPECTED", we cannot confirm that at this time. Deva Bratt is currently recording new music under the newly formed label/production company "Krucial Konflict".

Barrington Levy feat. Obama, Busta Rhymes and Kardinal in No War

No War - "I'm Barrack Obama and I approved this message".

NoWarPoster_barrington_levy_busta_rhymes_lilwayne.jpgBy Shaneka Simpson Writer

Veteran singer Barrington Levy will end this year on a very high note, with another outstanding international collaboration. This time around, the veteran singer has joined forces with Busta Rhymes, Kardinal and Barack Obama to convey a message many have been chanting for a long time - “No War”. A Platinum Camp production, the song is expected to stimulate much interest, and pave the way for his upcoming album of the same name. A video is also in the making. The video shoot will begin mid-December and a member of the team will be present to capture behind the scenes images.

The song combines the genres of reggae and rap with inserts of a speech from Barack Obama, which, when heard as a holistic musical production, makes for great entertainment. Beyond its entertainment value, however, are the ideas expressed that all races and classes can identify with. The overall message is that of no war, but there are underlying themes of the need for unity; yet the instinct to protect family and one’s territory in the face of provoked violence. “Change we need”.

Nicole's Musical Journey

nicole_singer_Los_Angeles_California%20.jpgNicole’s musical journey began in 2000 when she joined a girl group called Forte. Formed by her first vocal coach, Justin Taylor, this dynamic group of four local girls was Nicole’s first glimpse of her destiny. After learning songs and choreography for a forty-five minute show, Nicole and Forte were thrown onto stages all over Salt Lake City. For a year they toured Utah and eventually landed a spot as a Radio Disney Jam Band. Forte recorded radio spots, TV commercials, and performed at all the local Disney events. In 2002, Nicole and Forte were invited to perform during the Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City.

After gaining experience and confidence in her new found talent, Nicole started singing wherever she could; in church, the mall, fund raiser events, parties, fairs, baseball games, etc. She also began entering talent shows, where she placed first and second in the Utah Talent Competition (2001 and 2004). After the competition, she was approached by a bandleader who was looking for a lead singer. From 2003-2004, Nicole became the leading lady for the funky disco/R&B band ‘The Right Amount’. The band played all over Salt Lake City and it gave Nicole the opportunity to spread her wings as a Solo Singer. She enjoyed it so much that she began seeking out opportunities to record professionally.

Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' case for Supreme Court

US government wants fine re-imposed on TV Network

janet_jackson_expose_bra.jpgJanet Jackson’s ‘wardrobe malfunction’ during the 2004 Super Bowl has reared its head again, with the US government asking that the original fine be paid.

After Jackson’s nipple was exposed as she performed with Justin Timberlake during their half-time performance, a fine of $550,000 was slapped on TV network CBS by the Federal Communications Commission, who said that they broke indecency rules in front of the 90 million viewers.

A court in Philadelphia subsequently ruled that CBS would not have to pay the fine, as they were not responsible for Jackson’s actions.

Now government prosecutors are requesting that the fine be reinstated, and have gone to the Supreme Court with the case.

According to the AFP, prosecutors have asked the high court to consider "whether the court of appeals erred in holding that the federal communications commission acted arbitrarily and capriciously (...) in determining that the most widely viewed broadcast public nudity in television history fell within the federal prohibitions on broadcast indecency.

Before his prayer at the start of the match, Rev Al Miller said: "With all the crime and violence that is rocking our nation, it is a beautiful sight to see all united tonight as we enter into this crucial match."

Reggae Boyz supporter, Anthony, commented on his reason for attending Reggae Boyz' matches: "I come to support my country. The thing I enjoy the most is seeing Jamaicans from all over come together as one. It is a beautiful thing and should happen more often."

Female supporter, Stephanie also commented: "Tonight it matters not if you are from uptown or downtown, all that matters is that we are Jamaicans and as Jamaicans we all want to see the Reggae Boyz win. It is a shame we will not qualify for the World Cup but at the end of the day we saw a quality match played by quality players and I am proud of my Reggae Boyz."

Pamputtae - Jamaica's hottest female artiste ready to set Sting on fire

By Shaneka Simpson. Writer

pamputtae_dancehall_sting_2009.bmpShe burst onto the scene with the hit single “Pat Yuh Pu**y” produced by her manager Hoffy for the Good Yute Label. The song had ladies doing just what she commanded in the dancehall, and she can be expected to exercise this control for a while longer with the recent release of the remix featuring international R&B singer Ashanti, which has been getting airplay in the mainstream. Now the only female to rise to prominence in the dancehall for 2008 is about to tread where only the brave have gone before. Pamputtae is set to grace the stage at Jamworld on December 26, 2008 for the 25th staging of Sting.

She has the lyrics and style which should guarantee her drawing her own crowd as well as getting the support of the other spectators, and if a clash ensues by any lady who feels threatened by this new artiste’s increasing popularity, she certainly does not lack the bravado to step up to the plate. Whether this actually occurs or proves to be only the wishful thinking of the writer, Pamputtae is expected to deliver a first-rate performance. With recent songs such as “F**k & Fight” produced by Seanizzle, “Ride It” on Mr. G’s Brawling Riddim and “Some Do Some Don’t” alongside Matterhorn on Boardhouse’s Clean Sweep Riddim, fans and patrons will not be disappointed.

This week on the Billboard... T.I., T Pain and Lil Wayne

On the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart, T.I. holds down the number 3 spot with “Whatever You Like” and number 4 spot with “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna. T-Pain comes in at number 5 with “Can’t Believe It” with Lil Wayne not far behind at number 7 with some help from Bobby Valentino with his mosquito-esq. single “Mrs. Officer”; “weee ohh weee ohhh weee weee ohhh weee…" (sigh). Oh Lil Wayne, the effects your songs have on me I just can’t describe in words; please forgive me.

On the Hot 100 Chart, Oh look its T.I. again! Coming in at number 1 it’s T.I. with “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna; and also grabbing the number 2 spot with “Whatever You Like”. Kanye West sits at a comfortable number 4 with “Heartless”. I love Kanye’s first single off of 808's & Heartbreak “Love Lockdown”, and you all know how much I despise auto-tunes but “Heartless” is just too much to handle. On a brighter note, the video is H.O.T. Akon grabs the number 10 spot with “Right Now (Na Na Na)”.

T.I. has again found his way to the number 1 spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart with his impressive album Paper Trail. I happen to like almost all of his songs on his album! Give that man a Klondike bar! Q-tip sits at number 3 with his new release The Renaissance, while Young Jeezy chills at number 5 with The Recession. Young Jeezy’s album could have been a stunner had he left out the song “Vacation”; what a contradiction to the title of the album. Lil Wayne is at number 8 with The Carter III.

Boardhouse Drops The Clean Sweep

Boardhouse drop the Clean Sweep, so even if next year is a leap, we still a mek money whole heap…”

You thought “Nuh Linga”, “Wha Do Dem Guy Deh” and “Dem Ya” were three of the biggest hits this year for Boardhouse label? Well, as Assassin correctly purports “Christmas Time is Here Again” and Boardhouse Records has got more goodies for your musical ear and your dancing feet. Sweeping across the airwaves this season is what is poised to be Boardhouse’s largest riddim juggling production yet - The “Clean Sweep”, features dancehall’s leading headliners as well as some “New Kidz” on the scene.

The general response so far has been phenomenal and feedback from party-goers and dancehall fans is evidence that Boardhouse is racking up those hits and “Clean Sweep” promises several more. After all, with such a star-studded line-up, what else can you expect? Bounty Killer, in what some deem his finest moment of the year lashes out against abusers and child molesters in “Social Responsibility”, written by the super talented Jeffrey “Assassin” Campbell, while Beenie Man, not to be outdone, is riding on the recent victory of Barrack Obama with a song called “Obama”, encouraging the youth to aspire to be a president. Not a bad way to end the year for both artistes, kudos to them, and to Boardhouse for producing such stimulating material.

Guess who else is in the mix? The “First Lady” herself D’Angel. Just whose first lady she is, has not been made clear in her song She rhymes nicely though, and is it a coincidence that “Beenie Man” is talking about a president while she is talking about a first lady? Let us leave that one up in the air.

My boyfriend has two baby mothers - Should I cheat to make this work

Dear Mr.Proppa fix,

I am 18 years of age and am currently dating a 26-year-old man. He has two kids for two different mothers. I knew about this when the relationship was already in full swing so it was hard for me to leave, plus he is no longer with either of them so it was not easy for me to detect. He says he loves me, but these days I don’t think men understand the meaning of that word anymore.

Although he is always around me, he has these unbearable ways. When we’re together he is always looking at other women (and a mean ‘bruking’ him neck to do so), this is why I don’t act intimate with him in public because I don’t want to look like a fool. His phone is ALWAYS ringing, and sometimes they sound a little too intimate because he starts whispering or he leaves my presence to take the phone call. His explanation is, “him ‘pree’ other people because he likes to be aware of his surrounds” and the phone calls are just friends, then he tries to flip the script and asks- what about the calls I get or the people I look at? When we go out, especially to clubs this is where I get the feeling most, because he tends to leave me every 5mins.

In terms of finance, it splits into a sixty- forty ratio with me being 60. I mean he is the one working and I’m the one spending more. I know all of this sounds bad but he still treats me amazing and the sex is great and complicated at the same time. We broke up several times for this and I must admit a love the break-ups because they are always so dramatic and exciting. Since reuniting there are slight changes, and he is someone I love to be around because of his personality, however I still don’t trust him.

To be honest I haven’t been completely innocent because of him, I snoop around to make myself feel better about this, but not to the extent to call it cheating. Should I cheat to make this work because I feel that’s the only way?

p.s. I know that at the end of reading this you might think that this relationship is too big for me, and I fell like I can already predict your response, however a really want you to think about it.

-Dear J.R.

African Singer Uru a blend of R&B & Reggae

uru_singer_african_r%26b_photo_model.jpg"Uru is an up-and-comer, with the talent needed to become a chanteuse of formidable fame" - Billboard Magazine

"Her sound is quite different as it spans from African influences to R&B to Reggae to everything in between. But what unites it all is her sultry voice thats both tender and commanding. The production is quite spot-on and captures her vocals with superb clarity. Lyrically its smart and light-years ahead of her contemporaries."
"On the cover she stands, knee-high boots, suede coat, white hot pants, no shirt, tambourine in hand, and she has the longest legs I've ever seen. So what kind of music do you expect? Maybe a '70s funk thing, hmm? Well, turns out Uru is from West Africa, and her music has a worldly feel to it. She also has the audacity to have two songs with the same name (different punctuation), "You Know..." and "You Know!?" While the former is a laid-back, spatial song, the latter is a funk-filled romp.

Erup's 'Click My Finger' enters Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop songs chart

erup_erupt_billboard_click_my_finger_photo.jpgTruckBack Records is proud to announce yet another major milestone for the groundbreaking single, "Click My Finger", by Jamaican dancehall reggae artist, Erup.

On November 8, 2008, Erup added the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart to an already impressive collection of noteworthy chart positions. I caught my wife having sex at home - I can’t stop thinking about her

Dear Mr. proppafix

I am a middle-aged educator at a prominent school in rural Jamaica. I have been having some problems for the past few months and I was wondering if you could advise me as how to deal with them. Others have told me that I am a quiet person and I tend to keep all my feelings inside instead of revealing them to others so writing this letter to you is a huge step for me.

I was raised in a Christian household, and like many Christian young men, I decided to get married at an early age. She is much more outgoing than I am - she likes to go out, she has many friends and has a lot more hobbies than I do. She used to always say that I needed to be more adventurous and that I act like an old man!

I gave her all my love, commitment, and I never looked at another woman while we were together. Our sex life was interesting and the first time we made love, I realized that she was experienced. It was my first time so I was lost and I felt a little embarrassed, but she assured me that she would work with me until I became a ‘pro’.

We had been having some rocky times in our marriage and this is so painful to say but to cut a long story short, I came home one day to find her having sex with a man in my house on my bed! Obviously, she had to go and we haven’t spoken since.

My big problem is - call me crazy or just plain stupid, but I still think about her. Sometimes I wonder what she is doing and if she is ok! She works part time and I wonder if she is making ends meet. I don’t know how to get her out of my thoughts. I haven’t mentioned these feelings to anybody because I am afraid that they will laugh at me and maybe think I am stupid. Should I contact her and reconcile? Technically, she is still my wife because the divorce is not final.

Who are kidnapping our women & children - CULTISM or PLAIN EVIL?

By Patrice Henry
Letter To The Editor

Last week was my first time writing to's (Letter to the Editor), but since the constant kidnapping of females and children I felt it is right for me to say my piece. I hope the authorities can quickly put an end to this plague that has fallen on our society.

patrice.jpgCultism - A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader - (The Free Dictionary)

With the recent rise of abduction in our communities, it begs for question the thoughts being concocted in the minds of these offenders. Are they operating under the guise of Cultism or is this just Plain Evil being brought upon us?

The usage of the word “offenders” seems an understatement as it is hard to refer as mildly to persons that would find pleasure in hurting other human beings.

From the news reports, their Modus Operandi is targeting women & children; however, there have been isolated incidents of attack on men also. Whether or not the attacks are related, is yet to be confirmed.

Stories have been told of children, terrified to go to school & to return home, for fear that they too may fall prey to these maniacal traps.

Beyonce as Wonder Woman?

By Gary Susman

wonderbeyonce_woman_movie_photos.jpgSo Beyoncé wants to play Wonder Woman? Surprisingly, my first impulse was not to gnash my teeth over what a terrible idea this is, though I imagine lots of fanboys might have that reaction. But really, B has been training for ages to step into Lynda Carter's boots and play the DC superheroine on screen.

She already has played a scantily-clad action heroine; she's long been an Amazon princess, and she already has a secret identity. Plus, Warner Bros. has been trying in vain for ages to make a Wonder Woman movie or at least a Justice League movie featuring Wonder Woman; maybe it'll take a star with Beyoncé's name recognition to get the movie greenlit.

Lasso of truth time: Who thinks Beyoncé can make this invisible plane fly? And who would rather deflect bullets with their wrists than watch a Wonder Woman movie starring Beyoncé?

Predictably, Dancehall Artistes Start Tearing Each Other Apart

Vibez Kartel doing the Crab in a Barrell dance

I Am, Amy Ashwood
Letter To The Editor

vybzkartel_bountykillerbeenieman_arrested.jpgOn behalf of all the persons who gripe but do not write, I am begging broadcast programmers to reconsider the content of entertainment programmes between now and the December holiday seasons. If what was aired on TVJs Entertainment Report on Friday, November 7 is any indication of what is to come, we can look forward to a Filth-Filled Christmas.

The programmer explained that he sought only to expose what was in the mind of international dancehall entertainer and current chart topper Vibes Kartel. I think that a documentary would have been a better vehicle to expose how he aggrandises his songwriting prowess, endorses his products and degrades another working-class dancehall artiste. He ended his taunts of that fellow artiste with the call “bill!” - a reference to the bill cutlass that will hook, cut and tear in one motion. In truth, this is an old tactic. Every year around this time dancehall artistes try to build the hype around themselves so that they can charge big fees during the holiday season.

The ER feature included clips of Kartel assaulting the viewer with a toy gun, and the producer added to the assault by including a gunshot audio to that motion. The effect of creating a menacing moment on an entertainment programme in prime time was achieved. This was so disrespectful to viewers and wrong for the type of programme.

Among Kartel’s claims is that he is the “baddest DJ in the history of dancehall” and that Jamaican people will be the judge of this. I have taken the liberty to distill some of what he has been promoting since the start of 2008:

Open Letter To The Broadcasting Commissioner - TVJ's Entertainment Report

This letter was sent to the Broadcasting Commission and was forwarded to by the writer Amy Ashwood.

Dear Commissioner,

New-TVJ-logo.gifI am moved to write about the content of TVJs November 7 edition of Entertainment Report between 8:00p.m. and 8:30 p.m. which carried, in my humble opinion, content that promotes the furtherance of creative work, not news, that is offensive to the general public and dangerous to young minds and therefore possibly contra to the conditions of the broadcast license.

There was an extensive interview with the entertainer Vibes Cartel (Vybez Kartel) discussing a feud between himself and fellow dancehall entertainer Mavado. In the Interview, Cartel mentioned that the lyric, "mek duppy like number on SIM card."

I am sorry that the programme editor considers this to be family entertainment and not a vehicle for crass, destructive celebrity gossip. It seems to me to be a an obvious build-up to another dancehall cass cass in time for Christmas and another money making Sting clash? A look at the charts will be instructive, as they are both in the lead and perfectly poised for a duel.

During the top ten countdown of popular songs the top three songs alluded to or veiled offensive lyrics that are in the following songs:

#3 - Movado "Car Back"
The clip "Seh no care so she fuck pon the car top" was played with the expletive bleeped.

The rest of the song was not played but mentions:
"We nyam pum pum like a pizza pack"

“Dem gyal deh nuh care, Dem sidung pon mi sittin like chair;
Mi move di G-string unda wear, PUM-PUM! Too phat it affi share.
Suh mi gi har fi handle it, She 'LAAD woi Bangle it'.

“Before I asked him to leave the house, I asked couple of my friends and family members to talk him about our marriage because I didn’t wanted it to end this way," she explains to

She then added, "I have always been a loving and supportive wife to my husband throughout our nine years relationship. He knows what started the problem and for him to be going around saying malicious things about me to the media and press that is so unfair and he knows that I have proof of him cheating more than once.

Below is a letter that was sent to Christopher ‘Mr. Lex’ Palmer by Tunya’s lawyer.

Mr. Christopher Palmer

Dear Sir:
Re: My Client: Mrs. Tunya Campbell Palmer
Defamation of character concerning comments and statements
Made on the 1876 Entertainment and Zip 103 FM

I act for Mrs. Tunya Campbell Palmer who has instructed me that it has come to her attention through the printed, visual and audio media that you have been the source of libelous and slanderous information.

On the 30th day of October 2008 a blog appeared on the 1876 Entertainment identifying you as it source of an erroneous report which you stated that you removed yourself from the matrimonial home due to the fact that you were tired of your wife's “infidelity”.

On the 2nd day of November 2008 it was also reported on the radio station known as ZIP 103 FM by a reporter name Candy at approximately 4:45 p.m. That you had remove yourself from the matrimonial home because you had lost trust in your wife due to her “infidelity”. It is clear from the said report that you were once again the source of the erroneous information.

Do you think rival artistes should disrespect ones mother in their songs? Presents The Public's Opinion Corner

vybzkartel-mavadothugsfight-dancehall.jpgWendell Stewart, 23 - Unemployed:
Yow mi love di two artistes dem but anyone who you ask this question will never say it’s right for a next man to disrespect a another man’s mother. Vybz Kartel is taking it too far, he’s acting as if he’s a child going to school and the quickest way to diss a man is by telling him fi guh suck him mother.

Samantha Hutchinson, 21 - College Student:
I watched the interview with Mavado on ER and you can tell that he’s hurt about the situation and I am only glad that he did not disrespect Kartel’s mother back in any of his songs. I used to love Kartel a lot but since he started saying that he don’t need to know God and how him f**ked Mavado’s mother pon di gaza that is out right disrespectful and ungodly. Another thing, I was surprised to hear Mavado mentioned that Vybz Kartel doesn’t have any morals, but Mavado is no different from Vybz Kartel because he was the one who sang about cutting Beenie Man’s son’s throat.

Raven Cordell, 27 - Store Clerk:
If my best friend tell me that a him a f**k my mother, I would never deal with him again maybe we would a even fight same place pon spot much less someone who is not my friend to tell me. Mi not going to support that and the selectors dem who played the song is also contributing to the disrespect.

"Dem nuh want fi si wi rise above dem" - Serani & The Seeker

Jamaica's hottest new Dancehall star Serani, who has his “No Games” banger in heavy daytime rotation on New York’s HOT 97, is continuing to expand his popularity in many markets. He recently hooked up with UK Dancehall artist Dolamite AKA The Seeker, of the famed Suncycle Crew from Harlseden - one of the toughest neighbourhoods in London, on a track for Dolamite’s upcoming album.

The Suncycle-produced track - "Disease Heart" - is a melodic shot at haters, a subject Serani has explored on other tracks making it a natural collaboration for him, over an easy-paced soundbed.

Dolamite has been in Jamaica for the past 2 weeks and he and Serani shot a video for the track on Wednesday (November 5, 2008) with acclaimed director Rick Elgood at the helm.

“Disease Heart” has just been released to radio and has already been getting spins locally and abroad.

'CHANGE WE NEEED' - Barack Obama – The president elect

“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed".

By Sanya Harrison Writer

A new day has dawned in the history of all mankind as the four corners of the world responds with jubilation as democratic Barack Obama became the first African American to become president of the United States of America.

This historic moment came after a long and more importantly significant campaign season as it is the first time in history since independence that an African American will grace the seats of the oval office and take reign in the white house.

This is definitely a revolutionary moment:
Obama has triumphed despite the many obstacles that stood in his way. He is the reality of Martin Luther King’s dream; “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “we hold these truth to be self-evident: that all men are created equal”. Barack Obama has become a symbol to so many people who have waited a long time to reap the rewards of their struggles, from all the brave heroes of past generations who have so selfishly fought for the dream that he has made a reality. To all the people of the world of all races whom have suffered through many racial and social injustices. He is a beacon of hope for all mankind as he as proven that you can overcome any feet in life regardless of the color of your skin or how many hurdles you have to cross.

The newly elected president addressed the nation in Chicago where he gave another symbolic speech in which he declared that “if there is anyone who still doubt that dreams can still come through in America," can now have reassured hopes as he is a breathing testament of his own words.

What a great & historic day!!!!! - "Obama To Di World"

By Patrice Henry
Letter To The Editor

patrice.jpgGood Morning Mr. President (Elect) - Mr. Barack Obama. President of the World!! I am not American. I am Jamaican but it fills me with absolute pride & joy to be a part of this great day in history. This victory is not just America's but also the World as a whole. American politics has long infiltrated the affairs of the world & so we all celebrate. From every 'nook & cranny', we say THANKS for this great CHANGE.

The rise of an African-American as President not only gives young & upcoming generations confidence and a new outlook on American politics as it has been known for over 200 years, but it also gives a sense of liberation to Black people all over who have fought for many years for this dream to become a reality.

It gives hope to people of colour everywhere. It gives solace to realize that America is now turning it's eyes away from colour and now to progression.

Many of us thought we'd never see this day but it is now here. Our children & our children’s children will now know of an America that chose a man of colour for President.

My boyfriend's d*ck is too big

"The sex is so painful, it’s like I can feel him in my belly bottom".

Dear Mr proppafix,

Please don’t laugh at me when I relate my problem to you, but it is really very ironic. I am an educated young lady who lives and works in the corporate area. I recently got in a relationship with a successful, caring and understanding young man and everything was fine until we started having sex. He has a huge penis - the first time I saw it I was in total shock. I had no idea that he was walking around with that weapon in his pants.

At first, I thought I would get use to it after having sex couple of times with him but it has been more than three months now and it’s the same tribulation I am going through.

The irony of the situation is that I used to always jokingly tell my girl friends that I didn’t want any small d*ck man but it seems that I have taken on more than I can handle. I love him dearly, but I am so afraid of him in the bedroom and even though he is so caring and careful with me - the sex is so painful, it’s like I can feel him in my belly bottom. The first time we had sex I had to see a doctor the day after because I thought he had shifted my womb.

Our sex problem has led me to resort to giving him oral sex instead of letting him penetrate me, but he told me that there is no compromise to the ‘real’ thing.

Sometimes I develop an argument so I would have a valid reason not to have sex with him because I am not getting any pleasure, my mind is only on the pain. Even though I love him, at times I think of giving up on the relationship because it would be unfair to have someone love you and you are not able to please them a hundred percent.

Mr proppafix I am in a real dilemma, although it might sound a bit cliche, but this guy is everything that a girl could ever want in a man. What should I do? I am confused.

Rap Star T.I. Allowed to Vote Despite Federal Machine-Gun Guilty Plea

tirespectmyvotesmall.jpgMTV News has posted an outrageous story: the rapper T.I. (Real name: Clifford Harris) was arrested in October 2007, mere hours before he was to headline the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. The rapper was charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He pleaded guilty to the charges in May as part of a plea deal. But despite a guilty plea and jail time to come, the rapper was allowed to vote in Georgia in the 2008 election. MTV asked:

How was T.I. able to vote? Well, the Georgia Secretary of State's office, in consultation with their own lawyers, "reviewed the law and found that Mr. Harris is eligible to in Georgia because the state constitution says that to be able to vote, you have to have served your entire sentence, which includes all probation and fines and any other stipulations," said Matt Carrothers, the Secretary of State's director of media relations.

Because T.I. is not slated to go to prison until next year on felony gun charges and is not currently incarcerated - though he is under house arrest - and is not on probation, all he had to do was contact the county he votes in and get re-registered in order to cast a ballot.

"Feels like I've taken advantage of my right to become a part of the democracy," T.I. said in the release. "It was definitely worth standing in line and doing all the things people complain about voting. I think it's more than worth it."

Pamputtae's 'Pat Yuh P*ssy' Remix Feat Ashanti Breakout Artiste For The Month Of November

By Sanya
Artiste: Pamputtae
Song: Good Good Remix /featuring Ashanti
Genre: Dancehall reggae/R&B

Listen to Pamputtae's 'It Good' Remix with Ashanti on the OutAroad music player on the right

Good Youth recording artiste Pamputtae has energized her mega hit single ‘Pat Yuh P*ssy’ by remixing the single with Ashanti’s Good Good.

Like cherry on top of a vanilla sundae, Pamputtae has infused an already sweet concoction with a delicious twist to emerge with a delightful and yet sizzling sound.

The infusion of hardcore reggae and smooth R&B rhythms has successfully merged together to bring out a fresh new avenue to demonstrate how women both locally and internationally can attest to their ‘glamity’ and addictive sexual prowess.

Pamputtae’s down right rough n' edgy sound compliments the soft and bubbly delivery of Ashanti’s voice both of which together can easily appeal to a wider cross- cultural musical arena. The hit remix has something for every female; from the conservative divas who want to declare “When my man leaves the house I know he’s coming back”. Or bold vixens who are not afraid to let it be known “The I shall return bring him home every night”.

Have a little of Sinnamon Love

Sinnamon_Love_model_photos_girl_lingerie2.jpgShe was taught all her life
boys will be boys but girls must remain chaste
this double standard didn't seem to breathe intellect
but to her seemed rather common place.
from the first time she felt
the power that lie between her tiny thighs
she fought the same demons
that made Eve open her eyes.
She began to question
every lesson
and all that she was told.
self love ingrained too deep to believe
that by following nature
her soul would be sold.
Raised to seek knowledge
but to never question her place
because as we all know
boys will be boys
but little girls must be chaste.
Eyes wide open
heart closed tight
disdain began to brew
for the shame and guilt her gender was taught
when man and science knew the truth.
The gift God gave Eve was pleasure
2000 nerves with no other reason.
She began to think it was man alone
that felt she'd committed treason...
because as we've been taught
since day one began
girls must be chaste
but man will be Man.
