News Flash: Dancehall Superstar Beenie Man freed of Tax Evasion Charges

beenie-man-winegal-photo-tax-arrest.jpgBy Secret Agent Writer

It was just yesterday a warrant issued for the arrest of Dancehall artiste Beenie Man. However, that warrant is no longer valid as Beenie Man’s tax evasion trial was thrown out of court earlier today. According to judge Owen Parkin, the evidence was not enough for the case to continue and he was also not informed by the Jamaican authorities of his legal rights.

Now that Beenie Man is cleared of all charges, he has vowed to make sure his taxes are paid on time and in full.

According to his publicist, Ray Alexander the deejay shouted in court, “Rastafari” - giving thanks to God for getting this heavy load off his head.

I am 17 and my lover (policeman) wants to leave his wife for me

Dear Mr. Proppa Fix,

I would like to ask for your sincere advice on a very confusing state that I am in at the moment.

I am a College student of the age of 17 plus, and I am currently "involved" with a police guy who is in his late thirties. He is married to a woman in her mid thirties. They have been in the marital status for a little more than a year.

This guy keeps telling me that he loves me, and wants to leave his wife for me. He also tells me that he want us to have children when I’m in the "working world", and that what he feels for me is real.

I have feelings for this guy as well, but I do not know if what I’m doing is right, should I let him leave his wife? By the way, they do not have any children together!

He says that he does not love her, and he has a strong connection with me, as we are similar in various ways, such as personality traits, etc. He has a lot of things he wants to accomplish with me. He wants us to live together in the future, and he wants us to share our lives together in every way we can, including marriage.

What I am doing might seem very distraught, by onlookers, but I am able to talk to this guy about anything and everything, he is my friend as well as my lover, and he has a lot of qualities that I admire. His wife isn't even living in the same house as him. She is on the other side of the island, he says that they are not "intimate", and haven't been in a long time.

This new single has the incarcerated Deva Brat thinking if he’s still a member of the Portmore Empire. But, according to reports the Portmore Empire will not align itself with persons (artistes) involved in exploitation of women or carnal abuse offences. tried several times to get in touch with the big man (Vybz Kartel) but was unsuccessful. However, we later managed to squeezed a few information from a source who’s close to the Empire.

“It’s not a %100 true that Deva Brat is no longer a member of the Portmore Empire. The members are just saying that if he’s guilty then his membership will be terminated. I know the members are hoping for the best because it could have been one of them in Deva’s position,” the source explained to

Deva Brat has been incarcerated since mid February. According to police reports on February 4, a 14-year-old girl, who is known to him, was walking by Smith’s house in Portmore, when he stopped her. The hip-hop star was detained at Los Angeles international airport on September 11th after allegedly smashing a photographer's camera.

An airport spokesman told the BBC after the incident that the camera in question was valued at $10,000 (£5,709).

Ludacris Previews New LP, Says Dispute With T.I. Was Never 'Beef'

Ludacris%20l.jpgBy Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway

Ludacris welcomed his audience with popcorn and jokes on Thursday night in New York's Tribeca neighborhood, as he gave them a preview of his new LP, Theater of the Mind, and debuted the video for "Undisputed." The clip shows 'Cris in a gym going through lyrical workouts, with flamboyant boxing champ Floyd "Money" Mayweather acting as his corner man.

"A lot of people heard my mutha----in' pool house just burned the f--- down today," he said, after a member of the crowd asked about the fire in Luda's Atlanta home on Wednesday. "I can honestly sit back and laugh at it, because it wasn't my actual house and nobody got hurt.

"Materialistic things can be replaced and you can't replace people," he continued. "But if you could've seen the expensive tiles that was inside that mutha----in' crib - that sh-- upset the hell out of me. For real. It's gonna take a minute to rebuild that mutha----a, too." ('Cris recently boasted about his property in his freestyle "Big A*s House" on his Gangsta Grillz: The Preview mixtape, and according to reports, the pool house alone was larger than most regular homes.)

On Theater of the Mind, 'Cris goes for the jugular, clearly fired up about not getting the recognition he has earned as the most versatile MC to come down the pike since his debut in 2001.

Bembe selector Rolexx surprised about Fanton Mojah Threats

rolex_beme_dancehall_party_thursday_photos_jamaica.jpgPopular Bembe selector Rolexx has heard that artiste Fanton Mojah is looking for him but the reason remains unclear.

Rolexx went to a studio in Kingston yesterday to voice dub plates with Movado when he was told by fellow selectors Foota Hype and Cutty from Copper Shot that Fanton Mojah and his entourage had been to the same studio the same day looking for Rolexx and making threats. When asked for the reason the persons present at the studio did not get an answer from the artiste but he instead continued with his threats to harm the selector when he would find him.

Rolexx is a seasoned selector and he says that he is definitely not afraid of Fanton Mojah or his entourage and he is not hard to find on the road. Rolexx says "I am a like stop light on green, on the go, so I am easy to find." Rolexx and Fanton Mojah have never had any form of confrontation before and there was always a good vibe between the selector and the artiste in the past. Rolexx would like to know the reason for the artiste's behaviour as he has not seen the artiste around in a long time. Rolexx continues to state that "artistes should not diss selectors cause we a build dem now." Rolexx says further that he will just continue to play music and nothing and nobody can stop him from doing his thing.

My twin sister slept with my man

Dear Mr. ProppaFix,

I really don’t know why I am writing this letter because I used to think that only lame a*s people do this kind of stuff, but I have found myself in a really sticky situation and I need some unbiased advice. I am a Jamaican who currently lives in the United States. I have an identical twin sister who I share an apartment with. We go to the same university but study different major.

The problem started when I met this really cute guy at school during orientation week. We started talking when he approached me and asked me something about the major I was doing and we discovered we were studying the same thing. I was so excited and I told my sister as soon as I saw her. She seemed a bit jealous when I told her but I thought it was just because she was scared that I would no longer have time for her.

After a couple of days, we started dating and everybody would stare at us in the mall because we were always all over each other. We went everywhere together and we did all our assignments together. I even stayed at his dorm a few nights, which made my sister mad, but I didn’t care. I really started to feel for this guy.

My sister became more and more miserable as my new relationship blossomed, but I paid it no mind because I thought that she was just being a bit jealous. One day when I came home and we were alone, she made a shocking confession to me. She told me that she tricked my man and fuc**d him behind my back. I was so hurt and upset that I left the apartment for a week and went to stay with one of my girlfriends. I knew that there was something wrong with her, but I really did not expect her to do something like this. I stopped talking to my boyfriend at first, but then I started to wonder if I should really blame him. People have always confused me for my sister and vice versa. I am still mad at my sister because I know she only did it to get my attention, but I am hurt because I feel like I will never be more than ‘two of a kind’ to anybody. I want people to see me as an individual, because although I may look like my sister, my ways are totally different!

At this moment I am very confuse because I don’t know where to begin. Do you think I should forgive my sister for what she has done and what should I do with my man? Do you think he did it on purpose?

-Two of a kind

"Pat yuh pu@$y and call yuh man name" - Pamputtae

By Sanya Harrison
Song Review
Artiste: Pamputtae
Song: 'It Good'
Genre: Dancehall reggae

Listen to Pamputtae's 'It Good' on the OutAroad music player on the right

“Pat Yuh P*ssy and Call Yuh Man Name”, are a few words from dancehall’s fast rising newcomer Pamputtae who’s presently the hottest female artiste in the dancehall.

A dancehall bubbler with sizzling vibrations; this single handedly launched the career of Pamputtae a.k.a Buju. It skyrocketed her popularity amongst every dancehall divas, as it became the new anthem for women everywhere celebrating the ‘goodness’ of their womanhood.

With raw lyrical style comparable to that of legendary dancehall DJ Lady Saw, who dominated the local and international scene since the eighties. This daring teaser can easily set any party ablaze as it injects an energizing serum into the lifeblood of every female patron wanting to demonstrate their sexual prowess.

Laced on the backdrop of the Trash Out rhythm produced by Good Youth Production, this song will definitely get you moving to its upbeat tempo. ‘It Good’ (Pat Yuh P*ssy) is a definite hit among the ‘ladies’ and the eyesight of men who wouldn’t mind the opportunity to see gyrating bodies grinding on the dance floor.

I guess you can safely add this one to this year’s collections of hits, as this ‘trophy’ hit is a reward on its own, attesting to the glamour and power of the glue.

It’s a great party teaser, fun to listen to and an all around fresh remix of the earlier dare I say daring and bold testaments were accustomed to. gives it a rating of 4.55 stars out of five.

Update: T.I. Ordered To Pay More Child Support

By Jaymo

ti-music-arc012.jpgAn Atlanta judge yesterday (September 22) ordered T.I. to pay more child support to the mother of two of his children after she claimed he wasn't providing enough money.

As reported earlier, Lashon Dixon took T.I. to court earlier this month claiming that the monthly payments of $2000 that she received from the rapper wasn't enough to support her and their two sons.

According to The Associated Press, Judge Bensonetta Tipton ruled Tuesday that T.I. must pay just over $3,000 a month to Dixon.

The Atlanta bred rapper was also ordered to pay for the children's private school tuition, uninsured medical bills and extracurricular activities.

Should 13-year-old girls become super models?

By Sanya Harrison Writer

Thirteen years old, Shermonique Ivy strutted her way down the runways at the Hilton Kingston Hotel, as it recently staged the annual Caribbean Model Search (CMS) Competition.

But when has it become the ‘norm’ to have little thirteen year-old girls parading themselves in front of mature audiences in scantily clad apparel?

Surely, it may be argued that it is a formal event not intended to have any sort of sexualized connotations. Tell that to a pedophile waiting to ogle at their prepubescent little frames strutting up and down the runway. Surely she may “act mature for her age” as quoted by a representative who answered the phone when the Pulse group was contacted. Therefore, I guess it is safe to assume it’s okay to rob our children of their innocence as long as we can cash in on their abilities. But, isn’t this robbing our little girls of their childhood? Picking the fruit too early? Or maybe our society bent on blighting our children’s future by deliberately imposing on them the responsibilities of

According to a statement, received from Mr. Kingsley Cooper (Pulse CEO).

“Given the queries and concerns we have received about this, we'll certainly have a look at this again; to see if we remain convinced that it is appropriate to have a 13 year old enter the competition”.

Shermonique will not start modeling professionally until she completes high school (CXC level). This is standard for Pulse and has been the case with all our winners including such current stars as Gaye McDonald and Jaunel McKenzie who won at 14/15 and 16 respectively, but who did not start modeling internationally until after they had completed high school. In Gaye’s case, 2-3 years after she won, in Jaunel’s, the following year.

Will Munga and Aidonia take a piece of the Christmas hype?

By Krazy Katty Writer

Dancehall artistes Munga also known as the Gangsta Ras and the lyrical genius Aidonia were two of the hottest artistes last year ripping up the airwaves and the dancehall circuits. However, in the first quarter of 2008 that hype slowly faded away.

One of the things that these two artistes have in common is that fans are anxiously waiting for them to make a monstrous come back. A lot of persons were anticipating that they would have been hot for the summer, but the summer hype went to the Energy god Elephant Man with his usual dancing antics with songs such as ‘Nuh Linga’, ‘Gully Creeper’ and ‘Sweep’. But what really placed the icing on the ‘summer hype cake’ for Elephant Man was when the world’s fastest man on earth Usain Bolt did the ‘Nuh Linga’ and ‘Gully Creeper’ after breaking his own world record at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing (China).

Even though both Munga and Aidonia were not at their uttermost best, they still had songs ripping up the dancehall. Munga with ‘Rise My Own’ and Adonia with ‘Want Fi F**k Yuh’. Personally, I think these two artistes will once again become hot commodities for this coming Christmas season as I have done a few rounds to various studios listening to tracks soon to be release by Munga and Aidonia. So far, Aidonia can be defined as the favourite of the two because most of Aidonia’s tracks that I heard are now out and creating a havoc in the dancehall. Songs such as ‘Bruise Up Di P*ssy Jaw’, and the overnight hit single ‘Daggering’ that quickly attached its self like glue to the ladies in its first week of rotation especially at RTI weekend, Negril. If Aidonia can continue on this same path or better, he will definitely be a contender for Sting 08.

Cocoa Tea Turns His Talents To U.S. Politics

cocoatea_reggaeartiste_jamaica.jpgReggae icon Cocoa Tea, the originator of the singjay style of the 1980s and 1990s, is in the spotlight again with two songs geared towards the United States presidential elections. Barack Obama has been bubbling for months on the radio and youtube among reggae fans young and old as well as music fans in general, and Yes We Can is the brand new non-partisan follow up.

"This is not about class nor color, race nor creed," Cocoa Tea sings on Barack Obama. "It's about the changes… Americans need." The song’s message has caught the attention of a generation of listeners as well as media outlets worldwide. Coverage from Kingston Jamaica to New York, including ABC News, The Boston Globe, CNN and FOX News, to name just a few, has introduced the veteran to a host of new fans.

Yes We Can is a rootsy, non-partisan plea for all classes, colors, races and creeds to come together and demonstrates that despite their differences people can come together across both party lines and international boundaries. “Yes we can, don’t let them tell us that we can’t… Democrats and Republicans, let me hear you say, yes we can yes we can…”

Jamaican hit-maker Steven McGregor featured in the New York Times

Photo by Michael " Bigs" Burbridge

steven_mcgregor_producer_jamaica.jpgJamaica’s hit beat maker/producer Steven McGregor aka Di Genius was featured in the New York Times as one of their entertainment leads. You can read the interview below that was written by Vivien Goldman of

THE new hit-making force in Jamaican music doesn’t live in the steamy downtown ghettos Bob Marley made famous but on a leafy residential road high on a hill here, in the upscale neighborhood Havendale, St. Andrews. Just 18, Stephen McGregor, also known as Di Genius, is a member of one of reggae’s reigning families: the clan of the veteran singer Freddie McGregor.

Big iron gates slowly swing open to reveal a yard with a raised, shaded area designed for playing dominoes. Inside a large villa narrow wooden stairs behind the living room lead up to Big Ship Studio, named after Freddie’s 1981 worldwide hit. With its richly colored walls hung with framed awards and its big black leather couch, Big Ship feels like a cozy clubhouse outfitted with huge speakers and a mixing desk. Here Stephen, who is known as the studio’s Captain, swivels around in an office chair, punctuating a chat by flicking a fader and unleashing yet another monster hit like Sean Paul’s “Watch Dem Roll” and “Always on My Mind,” his collaboration with Da’Ville.

Also in the room are Stephen’s brother Daniel, 25, a popular lyricist and rapper known professionally as Chino, and his sister Yeshemabeth (also known as Shema), 29, an up-and-coming singer. Stephen produces them both.

Kardinal's "Dangerous" Remix ft. Akon, Sean Paul, Twista

Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall joined forces with Jamaican dancehall pop star Sean Paul, R&B prince Akon and Twista for the remix of Kardinal's Billboard hit single "Dangerous".

Kardinal told, "I basically spent the summer getting "Dangerous" out of my head and now this remix gets released. The first official remix for the first single off Kardinal Offishall's Not 4 Sale adds Sean Paul and Twista.

The original version always felt more like an Akon single than a Kardinal song, this one doesn't seem like anyone's track in particular. Regardless, my guilty pleasure track of the year gets re-energized and I'm sure that people will be acting stupid across clubs everywhere to this song.

The track was produced by DJ Kemo & hAZEL. Not 4 Sale was released on September 9, 2008. [Nah Right]

Reggae ambassadors Morgan Heritage tour the world

Simply put, Morgan Heritage is taking on the world… and in a huge way. Assiduous and feverishly focused, the group, which comprises the children of Reggae singer, Denroy Morgan, is on a mission. Actually, their most recent CD is entitled Mission In Progress, but it could equally have been named Mission Being Accomplished.

Quite an easy-going set of Rastafarians, Morgan Heritage has refrained from the condemnatory 'bun dis and bun dat' kind of livity dear to the heart of some of their fellow Rastafari singers (and deejays). It was they who made people stop, look and listen when they offered the insightful "You Don't Affi Dread To Be Rasta, it is not a dreadlocks ting divine conception from the heart". It was on June 15 that Heritage kicked off their 'World Tour' - with the emphasis on the word 'world'. Apparently worked out with mathematical precision, the tour of the world runs over into next year, with some hard to imagine continental juggling occurring over the period. For example, their US leg of the tour (June 15 to August 2) also saw them leaving North American continent to travel to Europe for one show only. But that, according to the affable Una, the lone female in the group, represented an opportunity of a lifetime.

"It's one of the biggest festivals in Europe… for 300,000 people… called Parkpop. We performed alongside Sheryl Crow, Jason Mraz, along with a host of other rock, pop, hip-hop and world music artistes," she said.

Shaggy: 'I'm still the man to beat'

Shaggy has claimed that he is still "the man to beat" when it comes to hit records.

The 'Boombastic' singer said no dancehall or reggae artist could match his record sales, which he claimed put him in the same category as Bob Marley.

"To survive 20 years and still be the man to beat is incredible," he told DS.

"A lot of people have come along since me, like Sean Paul, but no-one has sold the numbers I have and no-one has the No.1s I have. After all is said and done, I'm still the man to beat."

He added: "To have a diamond record (ten million album sales in the US) puts you in a category with Bob Marley.

"I was selling the numbers that Bob Marley sold... and I wasn't dead! But I still have time to do more."

Rihanna: 'I Used to Drink as a Teenager - But Not Like Amy Winehouse'

Rihanna_Amy-V.-Cooper_pool.jpgRihanna spent her time as a teenager in Barbados getting drunk with her friends -- but insists she never "went over the top" like Amy Winehouse.

"I'd go out and get drunk, but that's what teenage girls do in Barbados," the singer, 20, says of her rebellious phase at the age 14.

"The country's pretty laid-back about the legal age for drinking. But I never went too over the top," she tells Britain's Live magazine.

"I wasn't exactly in Amy Winehouse mode. I'd seen what alcohol and drugs had done to my dad and I wasn't going to follow in his footsteps. I knew my limits when I was a kid and I still do.

"If I go to a club, I go for the sounds. I go out to have fun, to dance and laugh at people fighting or dressed like whores. I might have a few drinks, but I don’t get tipsy too easily. I don’t ever get to the point where I want to throw up, can't stand up straight or say things I'm likely to regret in the morning."

20 days of marriage & my husband can't have sex

Dear Mr.Proppafix:
I don't know if this is the right thing to ask you about or not but I figure if it isn't you'll throw it away, anyway here goes. I have been married for 20 days and my husband and I can't have sex. I don't think there are any problems with either one of us but he mentally believes he has a problem. We have tried a lot but never been able to do it. Sometimes it hurts me a whole lot if I'm not into it so he'll stop or sometimes he goes soft. But I just don't know what to do.

Dear S.M,
I am sorry to hear that you are having a problem so early in your marriage but I am sure that this can be solved if you are both willing to work at it. Please do not ignore it because bedroom problems can often lead to other much greater ones.

Judging from what is in your letter, I can tell that you and your husband hadn’t been having sex prior to getting married. This means that you are just starting to share a sex life together and it can take some time to get to know what each other likes. You need to sit down and talk about what is happening or what is going through your head when you are about to have sex. Let your partner know what turns you on the most and if he’s able to do that, I am sure that it will be a much enjoyable experience.

Overseas media bashed girl sitting with Sean Paul at Y-3 Fashion Week

By Krazy Katty Writer

sean_paul_Y-3_fashion_week_newyork.jpgThis girl sitting with dancehall pop star Sean Paul was the talk of town at Y-3 Fashion Week Spring ’09, New York.

While Sean Paul was busy laughing at some of the hilarious fashions on stage, almost every tabloid were busy trying to figure out what kind of fashion Sean’s female friend was sporting.

This is how one online website ( describes the two.

Here's an odd celeb/label pairing - Jamaican dance-hall king Sean Paul front-row at Y-3 yesterday.

The braided beauty (Sean Paul) - in jewel-encrusted sunglasses, a giant sparkly medallion around his neck and neon lady friend sitting next to him (yellow checkerboard pants, a sequin pink bra and dozens of plastic bracelets) - looked bizarrely out of place, further evidenced when he could barely control his laughter when boys took to the runway in dresses.

Powell defends Bolt after Lewis goes on attack

friAsafaPowell_narrowweb__300x526%2C0.jpgSTUTTGART, Germany (AFP) - Jamaica's Asafa Powell leapt to the defence of compatriot and sprint sensation Usain Bolt here on Saturday after ex-Olympic champion Carl Lewis questioned Bolt's performances in Beijing.

With Bolt resting back in Jamaica, Powell again dipped below ten seconds to win the 100m at the World Athletics Final on Saturday then said he was disappointed with comments made by Lewis in the United States.

After Bolt won three gold medals and set three world records in Beijing, Lewis said anyone who did not question the sudden improvements in the champions' performances was a 'fool'.

"Yes, I am disappointed with the words of a former athlete," said Powell, who finished fifth in the 100m Olympic final but was part of the Jamaican team that smashed the 4x100m relay world record.

"Usain (Bolt) did better than all the other athletes before him and yet he (Lewis) does not manage to believe in him.

"What Usain did does not shock me, because I know how much talent he has and this is the first year he has devoted his training to the 100m."

Powell was responding after Lewis, who won four gold medals at the 1984 Olympics, told Sports Illustrated: "When people ask me about Bolt I say he could be the greatest athlete of all time.

"But to run 10.03 seconds one year and 9.69 the next, if you don't question that in a sport with the reputation it has right now, you're a fool. Period."

My first time was actually special, it was with my first love. Not my first boyfriend but my first love. We planned it out and everything I was young and dumb and probably shoulda been in school that day!
Do you prefer getting oral sex done or getting the real thing?

Real thing for sure! If he doesn’t know how to do that right, then he better be an expert at the other!!
Sex toys are becoming popular in Jamaica, do you believe or ever used one?

To each their own, I’m from the US where they sell sex toys at a newspaper stand. I have learned patience makes it better when you finally get it, so why substitute? But if you have to then its better to be safe by yourself than OUTAROAD giving it away!

"Any gal can't 'Bubble' in a trouble" - Charly Black

Listen to Charly Black's 'Bubble' on the OutAroad music player on the right

charly_black_charley_blacks_bubble_jamaica_artiste.jpgSong Title: Bubble
Artist: Charly Black
Producer: Arif Cooper
Rhythm: Sexy Girl

‘Bubble’ by fast rising dancehall star Charly Black is defiantly the type of follow up song that is needed to strategically position him in the music business after his monster hit - ‘Nuff Love’, which took the world by storm in early 2007. It is usually very difficult for a new artist to maintain his musical momentum after such a song, but Charly has proven that he is no one hit wonder.

This song shows the artiste true lyrical potential around a microphone as he effortlessly flows over the Arif Cooper produced rhythm with witty lines like ‘Mi waan go pon u myspace an look pon u pics …any gal caan bubble move to di exit’ and ‘u love me but u caan bubble mi - so send fi u sista cuz she’s a professional” - keeping it current and easy for the audience to relate to. It is the type of song that the females would go wild for in the club as soon as they hear the intro.

Charly Black is definitely an artist to watch out for, as his songs just seem to captivate and force di gal dem fi bubble. He always knows how to compose the chorus to make it infectious and after listening to this song a few times, you will find yourself humming the melody all day. OutaRoad Audio Review gives Bubble four stars out of five.

My boyfriend is bi-curious - "he wants to be with another couple"

Dear Mr. ProppaFix:

Well I don't know where to begin. I am crying and shaking right now. To tell you a little background on my relationship. I am a27 year old female, and I am dating a 37 year old man. We have been together for 2 1/2 years and he has a 7-year-old daughter that I get a long great with. I couldn’t be happier, I met him through work, and our relationship is very strong, or so I thought!

A few weeks ago, he had a day off work to go golfing. When I got home from work, I always get on the computer to check my email but this time he had forgotten to sign off the computer. It was on a website called horny matches and didn’t want to be nosy so I signed off. I was curious though, so I wrote down his screen name to check into it later. Later that night I told him "thanks for the nude picks on the computer” his face got a little weird look and he laughed it off. A few days later, I just had to see what his profile said on that website, so I looked. To my surprise, it says he is bi-curious and would like to meet another couple. I wanted to see how far he would go with this, so I made a fake profile to his exact wants - a couple looking for bi-male for fun. I winked at him a couple times, and he fell for it and emailed this fake profile.

He said he was interested and would like to meet sometime. (OH my goodness - he wasn't supposed to email them). I decided I would email back, seeing how far he would actually go. I emailed saying "we" were interested in him too and when would he like to meet. He emailed back, asking if this Saturday would work for us.

It so happens that I was going to be out of town with family that same coming weekend, so I won't be around. He wasn't really supposed to email this fake profile. I am heartbroken!! What should I do? We are living together, and this is the first time that I was planning to leave the house overnight without him. That jerk, the one time I leave and he is making plans to cheat on me. I thought since he was emailing this "other" couple I would ask questions about him, pretending "we" wanted to get to know him better. I asked if he has ever been with another couple and if he has had any experience with a man. He answered no to being with another couple, but yes, he has given oral to a man. I also asked what is fantasies were - he answered by saying that "he wants to be with another couple." He then asked the fake couple if the boyfriend was bisexual. I am so sick to my stomach because I didn't see any signs of this.

Akon Caught on Tape Again Throwing Female Fans at Show - Watch more free videosIt's a second "fan-throwing" scandal for Akon when he was caught on tape throwing two female concertgoers at a show. The incident happened during a packed show in Guyana, South America on Saturday, August 30.

The R'n'B artist was videotaped performing on stage in a black t-shirt and dark-colored jeans. Enthusiastically asking concertgoers to follow in his move, he even danced with one of his male fans onstage.

In between his performances, Akon took his shirt off and tried to "crowdsurf to a camera stand about 100 yards off stage". He finally got there, dancing with two young female fans and two male fans. It was during that time that he grabbed one of the female fans and pushed her into the crowd as she tried to hold his hand. He then grabbed the other lady who tried to embrace him from behind and tossed her into the crowd.

Getting physically aggressive with concertgoer, indeed, isn't something new for Akon. He has on Wednesday, Sept 3 made an appearance for a brief hearing at Fishkill Town Court to ask a judge to grant his request for a jury trial in relation with his earlier fan-tossing case. He's slated to be back in court on December 1.

All eyes were on Beyoncé Friday night, when, for the first time, the singer publicly displayed her engagement ring on the red carpet for Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall in N.Y.C.

The singer, 27, who secretly married rapper Jay-Z in April, flashed an 18 carat flawless diamond by Lorraine Schwartz, valued at more than $5 million dollars, according to the jeweler.

Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z have publicly confirmed their marriage but in recent weeks, Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange referred to Jay-Z as her brother-in-law during a television interview.

Later in the evening, Beyoncé took off the ring for a performance where she donned a short, blonde wig in tribute to blues singer Etta James whom she portrays in an upcoming movie.

The star-studded event included appearances by Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Tommy Hilfiger, Hayden Panettiere, Paula Abdul, Fergie, Ciara, Natasha Bedingfield, Chris Brown, Terrance Howard, Justin Timberlake and Chace Crawford.

Uplifting Music International: “Terry Linen A Better Man”

terry_linen_car_man_singer_artiste_jamaica.jpgSince Jamaica’s reggae singer Terry Linen inked a management deal with Uplifting Music International based in Atlanta, his career definitely has been soaring to greater “uplifting” achievements. Terry Linen busy schedule takes him from Jamaica to various states in America, to several Caribbean Islands.

Terry Linen's Management Team strongly believes that quality is much more important than quantity. Recently they shot a high budget video for Terry Linen’s ‘Mood For Love’ that was directed by Kimala “Lala” Bennett one of Jamaica’s best video directors. With this video fans final got the chance to match a face to Terry Linen's soulful voice as most persons thought he had locks.

Terry Linen often sounds like the great Garnet Silk, According to Terry, Garnet Silk is the artiste that gave him inspiration, mentored him on several decisions and was there for him and blessed him early in his career, and one can even say he started his career. When Garnet Silk passed, Terry was shocked and sad as his friend (Garnet Silk) was no longer there for them to eat and laugh together or even have their birthdays together as they shared the same birth month of April. Terry could not eat nor sleep it took a time before he would focus again.

In one of Terry Linen’s newest fast rising singles, a tribute to the great Garnet Silk titled ‘Hurt Dem’ is creating quite a controversy as most people are saying it’s a bashing song, but according to Uplifting Music Int’l, ‘Hurt Dem’ is not throwing words at anyone - the song is just chanting reality and sending a positive message about Garnet Silk.

Can a female ever win Digicel Rising Stars?

SLR.jpgThe Digicel Rising Stars talent competition has been the scene of much change this year. With a new venue, new host and in last Sunday's (August 31) show a new segment: Gospel, which brought with it for the first time a guest performer. From all angles, Digicel Rising Stars 2008 is distinguishing itself from the previous seasons including the fact that, for the first time, 4 of the top 6 are female (67%).

While it's too early to be corralling the masses into the final hurrah, the composition of the top six remaining has many saying there is the distinct possibility that a female will snatch the top position and create history in the talent contest that began in 2004.

"I think it is about time that a woman wins the competition," acclaimed a patron after Lashana's performance of Beyonce's Listen on the R&B night. "Too much man a win this thing now, a time for a woman win the competition," she said before erupting in laughter listening to Anthony 'Killer' Miller's comment.

As Cameal celebrated her birthday, that said night (August 10th) with Dangerously in Love, another Beyonce hit, a male patron could be heard saying: "A she me a support." Similar sentiments were heard for SLR who delivered En Vogue's Hold On: "Them little girls good man, you hear them harmony?" At the Gleaner's Olympics Party on August 23rd, patrons were truly entertained by K'Alee; before she finished singing, a few patrons were inquiring: "What is the number to vote for her?"

Akon faces up to one-year jail time for tossing boy off stage

By Krazy Katty Writer

The Konvict artiste Akon is to appear in court on December 1, 2008 to stand trial for throwing a teenage fan off stage in the audience.

Akon was performing at the annual KFEST concert in June 2008, New York. Apparently, someone from the audience threw something at the singer. Akon then asked the audience to help him find the attacker - the 15-year-old was then escorted to the stage. Most of whom in the audience were expecting a mild reaction from Akon - instead he lifted the boy into the air and tossed him in the crowd.

Shaggy: 'Barack Obama is like Rocky'

shaggy245.jpgShaggy has claimed that presidential candidate Barack Obama is similar to the movie character Rocky.

The reggae musician said he is supporting Obama because he views the Democrat as a "symbol of hope".

"The thing about Obama is that even if he doesn't deliver, he'll at least make the rest of us want to f***ing deliver," he told DS.

"It's like watching Rocky. You don't give a f**k if he wins the fight or not, you're just so motivated that he's going for it. You watch Barack Obama speak and he puts a fire under your ass.

"He gets you charged up to do something and he's a symbol of hope. I doubt he'll change the world, but he may just provide us with the motivation."

Expressing his disdain for George Bush, the 'Boombastic' singer added: "He's probably one of the worst presidents ever!

"It shows the ignorance of people in America that he was voted in for a second term. I just couldn't fathom it."

Garrison Hawk gets sweet deal with Coca Cola

Garrison%20Hawk%202.jpgDeejay Garrison Hawk was recently chosen to be featured alongside 35 other artistes as part of Coca-Cola's worldwide Coke Rewards campaign and his song, Sweet Music, has been one of the top five most downloaded songs in the promotion.
Quite excited at the way things have turned out, the deejay says this success is in no way fleeting. His previous single, Gangsta Roll, had nudged him onto the world stage - the song reached #9 on the Hype TV top 20 chart and the track received radio airplay in Jamaica as well as in Europe, Japan, London, New York, and Miami.

When a club remix of Sweet Music leaked, it hit #11 on the UK pop charts. The song has also been featured in the video game Tropico:Caribbean Sims, which has sold several million copies worldwide.
However, prior to all of the acclaim, some of Hawk's tunes wound up in the hands of legendary reggae producers Sly & Robbie as well as the heads of A&R at Warner Brothers UK. Hawk wanted to take his songs and record them in a new style - one taken from his experiences in growing up in Jamaica and New York and touring Europe and Asia. Warner Bros loved his vision and signed Hawk almost instantly. Within weeks he was recording in Brixton, England with one of London's hottest young producers, Dan Carey, then it was onto Kingston's Anchor Studios with Sly & Robbie and back in Brixton. The result is a truly original hybrid of roots reggae, electronic music, English and American pop and vintage.

Reggaeboyz – He sent me to College but I am going to leave – Did I use Him?

Dear Mr. ProppaFix,

I am a regular reader of your column and would love to encourage you to keep up the good work you are doing. I am 22yrs old and just finished a Bsc Degree in Marketing at an American university.

Ever since going to high school I have been a great football fan going to every schoolboy football games that I could. I didn’t believe however that I would fall so crazily in love with a football player. I always told myself that I would never date one because I think they are mostly womanizers. To my surprise and misfortune I met this guy that I have been dating for the last 4 years, he plays for Jamaica but lives in England as he's contracted on a major team there.

At first, he tried so hard to convince me that he was different, I introduced him to my family and he introduced me to his. There are women constantly calling my phone from Jamaican area codes as well as England area codes shortly after he leaves each location and he says it is a stalker girl from England that likes him but he told her he's with me and she makes her friends in Jamaica call me when she knows he's there. He also justifies it by saying I should expect that because he is a well-known footballer.

He paid my rent while I was in college and was a major financial support for me, he constantly tells me that I am going to leave him when I accomplish my Degree, and frankly I think I am. I have put up with his cheating for much too long and he always uses the relationship I have with his family as a ploy for us to stay together. I am so depressed and his constant cheating has forced me to study harder and I am graduating with honors and made the Dean’s list and at this point in my life I think enough is enough and I can’t take it anymore and I am leaving.

Lil Wayne Misses Court Because Of Dentist

lil_wayne_teeth_rehab_photos.jpgLil Wayne missed a court date in Yuma County, Arizona, on Tuesday (August 26) because he was recovering from root-canal operations.

The ‘Lollipop’ rapper was scheduled to appear to face drug and weapons charges following his arrest on January 22 (2008), when his tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint.

Authorities found 105 grams (3.7 ounces) of marijuana, 29 grams (1 ounce) of cocaine, 41 grams (1.45 ounces) of ecstasy, a .40 calibre pistol, and more than $22,000 in cash on board the bus.

Attorney James Tilson told the Yuma Sun (via MTV) that the rapper, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was recovering from oral surgery from several root canal operations and was instructed not to fly by his dentist.

“As a result,” Tilson explains. “The court waived his appearance for that hearing. He still must appear at future hearings.”

Carter has pleaded not guilty to all charges with the next court date set for October 9.

TI - "Whatever You Like" - lyrics & video

You know them old sugar daddies
They be tricking they tell them girls
I said you can have whatever you like
I said you can have whatever you like

Stacks on deck. Patron on ice.
We can pop bottles all night
Baby you can have whatever you like
I said you can have whatever you like.
Late night sex so wet and so tight.
I'll gas up the jet for you tonight and baby you can go wherever you like
I said you can go wherever you like

Anytime you want to pick up the telephone you
know that it ain't nothing to drop a couple stacks on you
If you want it you can get it my dear
5 millions dollars homes drop the business i swear.
I want yo body. I need yo body.
As long as you got me you won't need nobody
You want it, i got it. Go get it, I'll buy it
Tell them other broke niggas be quiet

Stacks on deck. Patron on ice.
We can pop bottles all night
Baby you can have whatever you like
I said you can have whatever you like.
Late night sex so wet and so tight.
I'll gas up the jet for you tonight and baby you can go wherever you like
I said you can go wherever you like
