Yes Tracy, I agree, No b*ttyboy roun here...years ago there was a tiny front page column stating that Jamaica had topped the list of countries that were, as they would put it, homophobic...but if dem waan get eloquent we can rephrase and seh, no sodomite roun 'ere...we(Jamaican)people come from a rich African tradition and know the story of Sodom & Gommorah, no wonder Rastafari come fi put di icing pon afrocentricity...look to di east...seal up!
Yu know seh inna Iran dem tell yu seh if yu a b*ttyman get a sex change or wi ago hang yu...mi did tink seh we did rough dung yah...den inna Gambia or Kenya dem seh, yu a gay, yu cyaan stay...stay and wi cut aff yu**dcleek, dat extreme still, but mi jus a show yu seh is a ting whey no natural inna wi.
Pon anoda note...If Barack win inna the US him have a tough job a get the middle east extremist fi look pon America in a better light...California legalize same sex marriage...and dem still a glorify, b*ttyguys are the bramble and rastafari a di flames..mabrack!!!

Mr. Golding,

I am very proud of you Sir, you represent well If I was Gay I would still agree, I was born straight, and yes Bruce you represent. I have nothing against gay people actually they are some of the nicest people I come across, but hey keep the guy things in the bedroom. The guys I dislike are the men who are married to female and still hiding and sleeping with man. I have a question for any gay guy out there and please don't curse me out just answer. Why most gay guy leave pretty woman refuse woman yet they try to dress like one and then turn around and hate woman, but you wear woman clothing? Oh next question if a straight guy wanto have anal with his girlfriend all the time his he GAY?

I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Golding for maintaining his values & not conforming bcuz he was doing an international interview. The gays r behaving like if we dont accept their lifestyle they r going to destroy us. Jamaicans r mostly black people so we r used to the struggle & better than them have tried to take us down & we r still standing. Their problem is that they cant come here & stop on the street & kiss & caress each other publicly, well most of us are straight(heterosexual) & we dont even do that, so they need to stop trying to force their lifestyle down our throats. President Bush have refused to let them marry, I see the celebrity gays running their mouths, but they don't dare try the foolishness they r trying to pull with Jamaica.

Majority of the crimes committed by gays r done by other gays, cuz they r jealous like wow! Another thing, if Jamaica is so violent, why do they want to come here. Why not go to a more accepting country, where they can publicly display their sexual practices.

this interviewer a upset mi...y him a try put words in the Big Mans mouth...him think about his answers before he answer...he is being honest..damn!!!

Posted by yep | May 30, 2008 1:06 PM

Even if Bruce golding wanted to he couldn't dear have made those comments any different. There is going to be a time in Jamaica that regardless of peoples sexual preference they would have to be respected.everyone one is entitled to their opinion but,the biggest problem with Jamaican people is that we like to dictate how people should choose to live their lives.the gay underworld is getting bigger here,we are in the universities, church, dancehall, police, private sector, public sector ect.but only time will tell.we have no intention of wanting acceptance but we want our privacy to be respected.we are winning in some instances now dancehall is taking a brunt on the world level next tourism then Jamaica on a whole why because of simple ignorance!!

how u mean Bruce!!!! no faggots round ere!!!!! dem b*tty man and gal a gwaan too much now inna Jamaica! Keep that shit where it belongs!!! behind closed doors! Keep that sh*t in the closet!!!! why the hell dem a pressure we fi change we laws and live like them? u see we a go inna fi dem country a try fi tell them wey fi do? Dem need fi release the Peter King dvd and since it is against the law they need to prosecute those on it!!!!! a time ppl start go prison fi this sh*t!!!!

Posted by Dr DRE | May 30, 2008 2:26 PM

Bruce to the Worl'. The interviewer must be a member of some gay lobby group. How the f**ker a pressure the gay issue so. Bruce's response was almost perfect. He should have added that if gays are caught they will be thrown in a prison and left to rot in isolation. Bruce - if mi coulda vote ten times all a dem woulda be for you. BIG UP MI PRIME MINISTER

Stale news. I don't usually like Bruce, but I gave him double ratings when he stood up for what he believed in. Imagine, George Bush overtly doesn't embrace homosexuality. It's not like we have laws in J'ca that says people must kill gay etc. At the end of the day there are alot of gays in J'ca, but they should keep their lifestyle to themselves, not flaunt it around like it is normal. It's not.

Posted by Laura | June 1, 2008 1:36 AM

THAT"S RIGHT GOLDING!!! YOU tell them. They want to visit Jamaica and make Jamaica conform to their lifestyle or way of life. If you don't like it don't visit. You can't go into a country and change their moral standards. Jamaica is probably about the only American country that still has REAL MORAL STANDARDS!
STAND GOLDING STAND! A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything. YES MI BRETHREN!

I must say Bruce is bold with his talk, but i must agree with the person that says we hope he isn't on the tape or someone in his cabinet -and also agree with the person who mentioned MEN MARRIED AND SLEEPING WITH MEN-now i must say i know otherwise and even facts....MR BRUCE LETS HEAR WHAT YOU WOULD SAY ON THAT.....wha ppl don't know won't hurt them huh?

Facts: more than 75% of Jamaican in JA are Homosexuals, and just about 10% being bisexual..and that is facts. There is a % thats married and still swinging and others who engage nicely. You know what you call that a Hypocritical, Homo-phobic Country, full of talk and then see how they live....

You'd be surprised to see who on the tape people...lets not run our mouths yet it has a way of getting away with us.Other than that I agree with Bruce JA is in deep CRIME crisis.

Lets all just live a little...u guys talk bout put words inna the big man also mentioned he looks i said....if walls could talk bwoy!!!

@ Yep

If u gays wanted ur 'private life' as u put it, then us not accepting ur lifestyle shouldn't matter, cus u would be living privately and we 'ignorant folks' would not have it in our faces. Gays dont want a private life, if they did all this facas wouldn't be happening cus ppl would hardly know about ur practices. And u know that any attacks against the gay r usually by other gays and very rarely hate related, yet to get ur stay in the UK/US/Canada the gays talk trash about Jamaica being homophobic. U r the worst set of Jamaicans, bring down ur country for a stay in another man's country just to be able to commit sodomy. It's wrong, that's why u ppl have hid for so long. The only reason the gays can start hyping themselves now is bcus society is so morally corrupt.

Posted by Can | June 4, 2008 10:25 AM

@ Concerns/Facts

Where the hell did u get ur so called facts from? 75% of all Jamaican men are NOT gay, so cut the crap u fag. A tape filled with mostly influential gay men does not speak to 75% of the island's men being gay. So dunce, do ur math again. And if u r insinuating that either Mr. Golding or members of his persent cabinet r gays/bisexual, and that is even so, wouldnt his blasting of the gay lifestyle prove the shame u all live with. And why live with shame? I'll tell u, its not right to have same sex relationships, thats why gays live with shame.

why would a married man hang out with his friends all the time take his male friends on all his trips even vacation and don't bring his wife if she invites in any where he refuses or find excuse, is he gay? or should he get some early easter bun and cheese?

I'm embarrassed by Golding's words. It make us sound as if we're all bigoted, hatemongering homophobes. Jamaica is increasingly gaining a reputation as a backward gay-bashing nation. We can disapprove of homosexuality without resorting to violence and name calling. We speak of morality in JAMAIICA when 74% of our children are born out of wedlock. Where is the morality in that ? Our murder rate is one of the hihest in the world...the morality?
And do you think Bruce has no gays friends? Please, the openly gay lawyer who held a fundraising dinner for Bruce and who is on the committe of the JLP. Known by all of Uptown Kingston to be gay. Bruce is a politician and he thought he could win approval back home for his comments, but what will it cost us in tourism revenues and investment?

Posted by neiko | June 25, 2008 8:33 PM

wrong answer can't mek that kind of answer on a global market. he is making it harder for jamaicans that live in other country

Only brings more FAGz from over seas to impose upon poor weak minded individuals that sell there asses for nuthing... Point Blank
