Five sex questions with Miss Chin from MBC - "Suppose him d*@k can't stand up?
What do you think about guys who come in less than a minute?

Miss Chin:
At times it makes me get damn upset but due to my sexy physic and tightness then I have to put little of the blame on the goody goody.
What’s the weirdest place you ever had sex?

Miss Chin:
The weirdest place I had sex was in the men’s bathroom at Tropical Plaza, I bent over on the toilet bowl and fling it up pon him left, right and centre.
Do you prefer getting oral sex done or getting the real thing?

Miss Chin:
Both of them but I am clitoral so I prefer the tongue, the only other way for me to come is rubbing my clit while he strokes me.

Rihanna Role Plays During Sex

By Carolina

No wonder Chris Brown is a happy man. Rihanna recently admitted that she loves her provocative concert costumes so much, she can’t resist taking them home.

I like to push the envelope sometimes. It depends on the mood and the occasion. It’s always fun to take some home. Sometimes I get to do that.

Hope they at least don’t have sex with an open umbrella in the room…that’s ah, that’s bad luck you know

R. Kelly Identified By Former Personal Assistant

rkelly_sextapephotos.jpgThe newest person to testify against R. Kelly in his child pornography trial is the artist’s former personal assistant, Lindsey Perryman.

The 1997 Grammy-award winner charged with 14 counts of child pornography, pleaded not guilty in the trial that could sentence him to 15 years in prison.

The woman worked for Kelly and his family from 1999 to 2006 and has repeatedly stated that she considers him a great boss who has done nothing wrong to her during their long-term collaboration.

"I didn't want to think it was them," said Perryman on Tuesday’s trial, according to the Associated Press, after watching the 27-minute videotape. Initially, she wasn’t sure that the video featured the two, but after watching it again she became "110 percent" sure about her former boss’ presence.

She said that "The image I saw looked exactly like Mr. Kelly," as quoted by the AP, and added that she also recognized the alleged victim on tape, especially because of her distinctive features and the way she moved her mouth, smiled and talked. Perryman met the young woman on several occasions over the past few years and her testimony might not be dismissed as easily as some of the rest have been.

According to the prosecutors, the tape was made between 1998 and 2000 and that the young woman videotaped with the artist was born in September 1984.

Four other Oak Park residents testified that it is Kelly and the alleged victim on the tape. Kelly's lawyers claim that none was close to Kelly or the alleged victim by the time the tape surfaced.

Aint No Stopping Rebecca Silvera - She’s Bringing Sexy Back

By Krazy Katty Writer

rebecca_silvera_missjamaicauniverse_modelphotos.jpgThe beautiful Rebecca Silvera seems to have a lot going on for her these days after being awarded the second runner-up position in the prestigious Miss Jamaica Universe 2008 competition.

Rebecca recently strutted her stuff for the first time at the launch of this year’s Caribbean Fashion Week 2008, where she dazzled the crowd. However, most interestingly, she will be representing Jamaica in the Miss Jamaica U.S.A. Pageant, to be staged mid June in New York.

When the stunning beauty gets back from the pageant, one she is hoping to win, she will be directing all her energy and focus on her dream of creating her own clothing line.

“I am in talks with some people from Sao Paulo, Brazil and South Beach, Florida to launch a very sexy clothing line. The line will consist tops and a few Brazilian cut pants, but mostly very sexy dresses that hug every curve and even enhance what is not there (ladies you know what I mean). The style will be very seductive, sexy and definitely not for the shy or conservative,” she told in an exclusive interview.

Latifa 'Tifa' Brown Heading To The Top

By Kon-Vick Writer

tifa_sexy_deajay_femalemodel.jpgFor female artistes in Jamaica’s hostile dancehall circles, getting ahead is a daunting task. There is usually the speculation of who is sleeping with whom, and who have to do some immoral things to get ahead. For Break Out Artiste for this Month, Tifa, those challenges are non-existent.

For Tifa, christened Latifa Brown, the road to stardom has been somewhat easy thus far. Music has always been a part of the singer/deejay life. Her stepfather, Sampalue, the reggae producer who assisted in the building of several music careers inclusive of dancehall’s queen Lady Saw, gave her a deep-rooted love for dancehall music. Her active participation in various aspects of the music began from prep school days and has since rolled on like a train.

“I love music. I have been involved with music all my life. I was a member of the Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts Academy and Ensemble and toured extensively with the group throughout the Caribbean and North America from 1996 to 2000,” she explained.

Voice Mail's Jump Off arrives on July 16

Voice Mail one of Jamaica's hottest dancehall boy groups has set a July 16 release date for its third album Jump Off. The album is the follow up to last year’s Let’s Go which was reportedly a big seller in Japan.

Jump Off will be released by Japan’s Pony Canyon label. The label released the trio’s previous sets Hey (2006); and Let’s Go (2007).

According to Voice Mail member Craig Jackson, ‘This album is so hot. The fans are going to be surprised by the material on the album. I think it’s our best album to date’, Jackson opined.

The 16 track disc will feature collaborations with producers Christopher Birch, Steven McGregor, Danny Champagnie and the Ballaz.

Missing from this album will be the signature Voice Mail dance tunes. ‘There won’t be any dance songs on the album. We’re trying different things so you can look out for a bit of R&B, dancehall, reggae, and a little bit of techno’, said Jackson.

While the album is scheduled for European release on July 16, a stateside release is currently being negotiated.

The members of Voice Mail recently completed a photo shoot for the Jump Off album in Tokyo, Japan.

Konshens Lashes Out Against Fake Rastas

By Kon-Vick Writer

“Dem a nuh Rasta - Dem a ‘Ras Hair,’
Talk this loud mi nuh fear”

konshens_naturalbridge_dancehallartiste.jpgJamaica’s fast rising star, Konshens is in the spotlight again, and this time there is a bit of controversy surrounding same. The deejay who burst on the scene with the mega hit Winner (This Year Mi Affi Be Di Winna), has launched an assault on people who wrongfully associate themselves with Rastafarianism.

In some nail biting and rather witty lyrics Konshens chastises artistes that “natty up dem head”. Already there are words on the street that several Rastafarian individuals are pondering whether or not he (Konshens) is ‘throwing words’ at them.

Here are some of the lyrics that will have some artistes sweating:

“Mi si nuff a dem a natty up dem head fi get exposure,
But a real Rasta Man nuh run down riches like Dover,
Dem impersonating Rasta,
But mi Rasta friend dem seh bun up a Rasta imposter
Natty up dem head fi ketch a hype up,
Seh dem a rasta, but Rasta livity dem nah hoist up,
Wha’ kind a food that dem a bite up,
Dem seh dem a Ras, what kind of girl that dem a wife up”

MBC – Unleashing True Potential

By Kon-Vick Writer

The fusion of three beautiful, talented young ladies could only produce one thing - quality. MBC (Make Boyz Cry) is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music arena. Working under the guidance of veteran producer and manager, Computer Paul, the trio has morphed into a musical force that moves beyond being simply ordinary.

MBC comprises Foxy, Diamond and Miss Chin. When they come together to sing one can expect to hear soothing rhythms, nicely blended harmony and melodies that run parallel with the beating of one’s heart. The quality of their work manifests itself in the type of material they produce.

Their latest single, Hustling Lives, is already creating a stir. The song not only possesses great lyrical content, but also some smooth melody and the delivery is priceless. “I hope that MBC will be the equivalent of a Destiny’s Child representative in Jamaica,” the girls outlined in our interview. However, from what we have heard from them thus far, their limit is boundless.

Danielle aka DI hot for the summer

di_danielle_singersexy.gifDanielle a.k.a DI has released her latest single, Ready Body, a high-powered collaboration with DJ Karim. "The single has been released to most radio stations and I am getting positive feedback so far. I will be shooting the video for Ready Body soon, and the concept is going to be mad. I am on track to have a great summer," said Danielle who shot into public attention with the popular highly-suggestive single, Beat It, last year.

Danielle also gained some amount of notoriety for the single, Man Weh Mi No Want which straight-up dissed fellow female deejay, D'Angel. Truck Back records has again joined forces with DI to produce another hot track titled; Get out of my life; on this track the singjay emits bottled feelings, she allows us to see a little more of her true persona. Danielle is definitely ready for this summer with quite a few local performances which include Reggae Sumfest's dancehall night.

R. Kelly witness: Female in sex tape met singer when she was 12

rkelly_case.jpgA woman testified today that the female who appears in a sex video is her best friend from childhood who was 13 or 14 at the time the tape was made - and that the man in the tape is R&B superstar R. Kelly.

Simha Jamison, 24, said she met Kelly at a gym called Hoops when she was 12. Her friend, the allegedly underage girl, was about six months younger and already knew Kelly, calling him "Godfather."

As time went on, Jamison and her friend would go to downtown Chicago to visit Kelly at his recording studio and hang out, Jamison said. Kelly would sometimes give the girl money - "depending on the situation and the reason she needed it, no less than a hundred, no more than $500."

Jamison said that one day when she was a junior in high school, she saw the sex tape at the house of friends. When she saw the girl who engages in sex with Kelly, "I thought she looked just like my best friend, [the alleged victim]" Jamison said.

She recognized the man on the tape as R. Kelly, she said.

P. Diddy Thanks Kanye West on YouTube

P. Diddy taped a video blog and posted it on YouTube, thanking artist Kanye West for making him fall in love with hip-hop again.

P. Diddy confessed in his first video blog, in a “keep it real” moment on YouTube, that in 1986 he saw Run DMC at The Garden, and began his dream of becoming a performer.

He then continued to say, “The other night, I go to the Kanye West concert . . . [I have] nothing but high expectations. Concert changed my life. I ain’t gonna lie. I was so impressed and inspired. It was beautiful man - and I fell in love with hip-hop again.”

Diddy created the video as a thank-you to West for his performance and vision, and for showing him [Diddy] that not all artists have forgotten what it’s all about.

Maybe his re-discovered love for hip-hop will spawn a Making the Band 5? Or a new album from Diddy himself?

Five sex questions with Danielle - "Of course I love my toys"
Sex toys are becoming popular in Jamaica, do you believe or ever used one?

“Of course I love my toys especially when your partner isn’t around. They are really fun; I don’t insert them though I need the real thing.”
Are you into threesome?

“I don’t go for guys that are into threesome, I don’t need any help I can satisfy my man on my own. Plus that’s too freaky for me. I know how to be creative; I can bring multi personalities into my bedroom. We can play sexy nurse and patient tonight, next night I am his private dancer giving him a lap dancer, swing on pole for him. I can fulfill his fantasies”
Which do you prefer, early morning sex or in the shower?

“Ohhh God the both of them are really hot but the early morning ride nice. At times I get the vibe to go at it all day, run marathon. I will just go away with my man and book off overseas and spend some quality time and run it red all day all night. Some baby making ting (smile)”

According to OK! Magazine, O'Reilly said the following in an open letter:

"Dear Rihanna:
We were very excited by your and Chris Brown’s recent visit to a Miami-area KFC restaurant. Clearly, like Kentucky Fried Chicken and our founder Colonel Sanders, you two know how to kick it up a few degrees. And, Rihanna, that’s a secret recipe worth sharing with the world. We could feel the heat - literally - in our restaurant that night … so much so that we’d like to invite you and Chris back to any KFC for a free meal including the Colonel’s Hot Wings. Whether lunch or dinner, home or on the road, our doors are always open to you. Think of it as a personal way to send an SOS whenever you crave a little Original Recipe. Like you, KFC is dedicated to supporting charity causes. If you and Chris are again photographed making KFC a “hot” date-night spot, we’ll make a donation to your charity, BELIEVE, which helps underprivileged children. Good luck to you and we hope to see you again soon with or without an Umbrella."

Sunday Best: Rice & Peas - Recipe

Tired of your family complaining about your dry, overcooked, or tasteless rice and peas?
We got Enid Donaldson-Mignotte, author of the popular Real Taste of Jamaica cookbook to spill the beans on how to make rice and peas that will silence even your most vocal critic.
Then, to make it even sweeter, U.K. celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott - of Jamaican heritage - dishes out some advice and his mom’s recipe for great rice and peas.

-Excerpt from

Sunday dinner just isn’t Sunday dinner in Jamaica with out rice and peas. Lorna McPherson remembers the Sunday afternoon she made a “fabulous pasta dish, thinking it would be a welcome change from the usual rice and peas. “After laying it all out my husband and kids were still waiting for the rice and peas.

They were not pleased. I tell you, I’ll never try that again,” says the Grade 9 teacher from Kingston. Mary Roberts, a Manchester, England, secretary says she’s tired of her husband going to his mother’s house for Sunday dinner. Roberts says she has tried her hand at making the dish, “but it just never seems right”.

While rice and peas seems simple enough to make, there are tricks to making it just right, says cookbook author Enid Donaldson-Mignotte who calls the dish Jamaica’s ‘Coat of Arms’ in cooking.Try her traditional rice and peas dish.

DeMarco – A Battle Savy Solider

Demarco_fallenstanding_soldiers.jpgThe haunting melody of Fallen Soldiers is still topping the charts while Duppy Know Who Fi Frighten breaking records in its rise to the top. And now, Sort Dem Out is a clear warning that DeMarco has become a dancehall star.

Twelve months ago, DeMarco was known more for his beats than his rhymes, but his collaboration with Star Kutt and subsequent synergy with Juke Boxx Productions has launched his career to a whole new level. The combined management team introduced the multi-talented artiste to the US based independent label, Koch. Koch boasts an eclectic list of acts but has a keen interest in urban reggae, signing acts like Sean Kingston, Foxy Brown and recently, DeMarco. The lucrative deal guarantees DeMarco world-wide distribution through global giant, Universal.

From an outside view, it may seem like an overnight success, but for DeMarco, the recognition is fair reward for years of dedicated effort. While living briefly in Baltimore and New York, DeMarco worked at odd jobs, struggling to earn money to buy equipment for his studio piece by piece building beats more for credit than cash. Before releasing his breakthrough hit, DeMarco collaborated with both hip hop and dancehall stars including Missy Elliots’ Soul Diggaz, Styles P of The Lox, Free from 106 and Park, Hot 97’s Jabba and Bounty Killer.

Dancehall Queen Carlene and Miss Jamaica Universe 2nd Runner Up at Odds

By Krazy Kitty Writer

Tension is brewing between former dancehall queen Charlene and 21 year-old Rebecca Silvera, 2nd runner up in the Miss Jamaica Universe 2008 pageant. Information reaching suggests that Carlene is at odds with Rebecca who she accuses of having a relationship with her partner.

When contacted Rebecca acknowledged that she also heard about such suggestions.

“I heard the rumors, and I am not sure what she (Carlene) plan to gain by spreading false propaganda. I saw her at a few at my Miss Jamaica Universe events and I heard from concerned persons that at the coronation show she behaved in a ridiculous manner. I heard that she was jumping up and shouting things like "man thief" and “booing,” which I believe is very absurd and not anything I would like to be a part. If this woman does not like me just leave me alone! Why is she coming to my events and making such a big deal out of me?” queried Rebecca.

Hustlin Life gives the feeling of a movie sound track and the chorus is especially catchy. The correct chemistry is what makes the song such a good one. MBC harmonized well, and the sections of the song deejayed by Diamond were undoubtedly fascinating.

"Some gal smell like the bottom of the barrel" - Tifa

By Kon-Vick Writer

tifa_bottombarrel_crawnygal.jpgTifa, Break Out Artiste for this Month latest hit, Bottom of the Barrel, is sure to give some girls sleepless nights while providing others with boasting rights. The song’s lyrics are not only catchy, but is appropriately delivered.

Tifa began the song with a punch, as she allowed the rhythm to dictate the direction in which she started the song, a move that readily demands the attention of the listener. Another strategy employed by the fast rising female artiste is the stretching of the final words in each line for emphasis, another move that is impossible for the listener to overlook.

Several attacks were initiated in the song, including one on the bleachers. A hot girl checklist put some vibes in the song. The choruses will stick to the tip of your lips, while the well-put together verses will grab your attention.

Below are excerpts from the song:

“Some gal smell like the bottom of the barrel / Some gal raw like Hellshire seaweed / Some gal face red like Christmas sorrel / An’ dem body black like tamarind seed…”

The song should appeal to her ever-growing hardcore dancehall fans and also has the potential to host an international hit. The track was produced by Suku from Ward 21 on the Estrogen rhythm. Tifa’s Bottom of the Barrel, can be easily referred to by a local and Caribbean audience. It is a definite hit for the hot girls while it will be tormenting some ‘pop dung gal’.

You can listen to the track on the Music Player.

Deejay Wayne Makes Furious Return – "No other disc jockey could fill his space"

By Krazy Katty Writer

Ire Fm's hot spanking disc jock DJ Wayne, returned from a six-week suspension last weekend with a bang. The disc jock came firing as he ‘lyrically’ threw words at DJ Smurf, who played in his slot during his suspension from the airwaves.

The move to attack fellow radio mate, DJ Smurf, has left many industry professionals shocked.

It was all too obvious as to whom his dub selections were aimed. DJ Wayne played a dub by Assassin, which got straight to the point; “A coulda wha do dem guy deh, how dem a juggle like dem waan come tek yuh Friday…” This was followed by a Munga Honourable a.k.a. the Gangsta Ras dub plate that also took aim at DJ Smurf, with Munga chanting; “Deejay Wayne come to take his place no other disc jock could fill that space...”

DJ Wayne was slapped with six weeks suspension after playing an unedited version of Mavado’s Money Changer, which contains several expletives. During his absence, DJ Smurf was summoned by company representatives to fill DJ Wayne now voided slots.

When got in touch with DJ Smurf, he declined to give a comment on the matter. Several attempts by to get a comment from DJ Wayne proved unsuccessful.

Morgan Heritage's "Mission In Progress" #1 on Billboard Reggae Chart

For the first time in 'Morgan' history, the renowned reggae band scores the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Billboard Reggae Album Chart with their most recent release MISSION IN PROGRESS (April 15). Known for their riveting live shows, Morgan Heritage's 10th album captures the band bottling the power of its stage performance on disc and infusing its songs with a heavier dose of hip-hop. In addition to the album's skyrocketing sales, the positive reviews continue to roll in.

The Village Voice raves MISSION IN PROGRESS "showcases an evolved Morgan Heritage sound, lushly layered and as tightly made as a soldier's bed." According to All Music Guide it is "Rootz with "z" -- Mission in Progress has plenty to offer Damian or Stephen Marley fans or anyone who believes climbing the charts and uplifting the people are not mutually exclusive endeavors."

Produced by Morgan Heritage (with a few songs helmed by Shane Brown and Stephen McGregor son of reggae singer Freddy McGregor), MISSION IN PROGRESS lyrically finds the group continuing their quest to bolster their love for reggae music through romantic, street-wise and conscious songs built on slabs of spirituality. Musically however, MISSION IN PROGRESS is the realization of Morgan Heritage's "ROCKAZ" concept: reggae music with an edge.

DMX Slapped With Dogfighting, Drug Charges

dmx_dogsphotos.jpgRapper DMX was arrested for the second time in a week Friday, this time after he was indicted on felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

A SWAT team with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office raided DMX's north Phoenix home at about 3 a.m. to serve arrest and search warrants and take him into custody on the indictment, sheriff's spokesman Capt. Paul Chagolla said.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, tried to barricade himself in his bedroom as a SWAT team entered but then came out.

He made an initial court appearance Friday where bail was sent at $7,500, said his local attorney, Cameron Morgan. Morgan said he expected bail to be posted quickly.

The indictment stems from an August search of the rapper's home prompted by reports of dogs being abused on his property. Detectives seized 12 pit bull dogs and dug up the remains of three others on the rural property.

Dismissing the rumours, the Barbados-born singer said: "I get asked about it all the time and I'm like, 'You are asking, but you know the answer.'

Ward 21 – Creativity Without Boundary

By Kon-Vick Writer

This is the second of a two-part interview with Ward 21

Dah one yah name bloodstain / p.syh..e diss mi copper fall like rain …” - taken from Ward 21’s Bloodstain on the Bellyas Rhythm.

As we continue our chat with Ward 21, we probe the issue of violence in the dancehall and try to get an idea of their stance on the issue. The crew members were undoubtedly keen to discuss the issue of violence in dancehall music. They made comparisons to other genres and also the movies, which they say contain graphic images that are played out in front of the viewer. Nevertheless, they had to acknowledge the power of the music.

Their stance on the issue is interesting as they noted that the sole perpetrators are not the artistes as other persons are also responsible for the ‘blood thirsty’ lyrics that now command our airwaves and the dancehall.

“Artistes do good positive songs that never see the light of day so we can argue that the media is also to be blamed. The media don’t get the blame though because it is easier to point fingers at the artistes,” reasoned the members.

Ward 21 – Different Sound, Different Beat, Strictly Dancehall

By Kon-Vick Writer

This is the first of a two-part interview with Ward 21

Ward 21 is a rounded musical force to be reckoned with. The four talented young men, Mark ‘Mean Dog’ Henry, Andre ‘Suku’ Gray, Ranaldo ‘Rumblood’ Evans and Kunley McCarthy, are like a volcano waiting to erupt, and they have been brewing from 1998. All emerged from the inner city community of Waterhouse in Jamaica and took the musical scene with a slew of hits including Judgment Day, Melody of War, Haters, and Bloodstain.

The blend of talent within the group is usual, especially in the dancehall circle. Ward 21 consist four creative, lyrical and multi-talented individuals, who are versatile musicians, engineers, sound system operators and producers.

When one talk about Ward 21, the idea of creativity, originality and innovative comes to mind. The young men are able to fuse dancehall with the various genres without diluting the foundation of their product - dancehall. According to Suku, it is something that comes naturally.

“It happens naturally. We listen to all genres of music and tend not to stray from the root, which is dancehall. We might pinch ideas from different genres and beats, but we still keep the dancehall vibes,” he said as Mean Dog nodded in agreement.

Singing Sensation Tifa Ready For The 'Flipping' World - Break Out Artiste For The Month of May

By Kon-Vick Writer Break Out Artiste for May is no other than fast rising singing sensation Tifa. The Crawny Gal singer recently sat with to give us, and her existing and potential fans a peek at what is happening with her career.

Born Latifa Brown, Tifa is a well-honed musical talent. Her active participation in various aspects of the music began from Prep School days and has since blossomed into what we know Tifa to be today. She has long graduated from singing backup to ruling the microphone with her unique ‘singjaying’ style. Under the guidance of the creative quad, Ward 21, along with Sampalue, Otis Davis, and Ai Irasawa, Tifa have been constantly putting out material that runs parallel with outstanding creativity.

Tifa’s love for what she does is evident from the moment our conversation began in an office at the Natural Bridge Studio.

“I love music. I have been involved in music all my life. I stopped doing music for a while and went to UWI (University of the West Indies), where I got my Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Human Resources Management. After school it was back to the music,” Tifa outlined.

Jay-Z refuses to wear wedding ring - report

The hip-hop icon - who wed Beyonce Knowles last month - doesn’t feel the need to wear jewellery as he is content with the ‘ring’ tattooed on his wedding finger.

A source is quoted by Fox News as saying: "He doesn't need more bling, this is a very personal thing for him and he won't wear anything other than a tattoo in public."

Last week, the superstar couple officially confirmed their marriage.

The pair filed their signed marriage license on April 18 in Scarsdale, New York.

Beyonce and Jay-Z applied for the license - which lists the wedding date as April 4 2008 - on April 1, three days before the ceremony.

Scarsdale Town Clerk Donna Conkling said: "They were very low-key and weren't dressed up. They did not have a large entourage."

The couple took the license home that day, and then signed it and mailed it in after the ceremony.

Guests at the New York ceremony included Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin and Beyonce's former Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

'Be Prepared' for Jamelody - New Trinidadian Roots Artist

jahmelody-singer.jpgPlanet Reggae always finds room for a great roots vocalist, and BE PREPARED, JAMELODY’s 15 track VP Records debut CD, showcases a rare voice---soulful, gritty, with echoes of Dennis Brown and Garnet Silk, as well as Stevie Wonder. But JAMELODY is clearly his own man, and he sings not just for one audience, but for the whole world.

Whether working out over BE PREPARED’s first half - hardcore foundation-style reggae tracks, produced by legendary mixing board master Bobby “Digital” Dixon or the CD’s “New Roots” rock/pop/R&B hybrids, orchestrated by Carl James, this genre-busting talent is a sure shot for international stardom.

The beguiling Digital-B-produced tune “Give Thanks” along with BE PREPARED’s title track, a roots-rocking hit-in-the-making that vibrates with JAMELODY’s serpentine vocal, announces to listeners exactly what this breakout talent is all about a New Roots messenger blending classic reggae with contemporary R&B, rock, and pop in order to reinvigorate reggae’s vintage call for “truth, rights, justice, and One Love.

"I AM INNOCENT" – Promoter Rodrick Reid gets defensive

By Krazy Katty Writer

In a statement sent to former GLK Entertainment Group partner Rodrick Reid, vehemently denied allegations that have been widespread in the media about him molesting a boy he was supervising.

Reid, who was a probation officer at the time of the alleged incident, was suspended from duty pending the outcome of the investigations. He was arrested and charged last Tuesday by detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) in Kingston (Jamaica).

After making his court appearance on Friday, Reid sent out a statement to several media interests and individuals stating the ‘innocent until proven guilty’ stance he should receive. We will give you, our readers, a peep at sections of Reid’s statement

Here Goes:

“Based on the advice of my attorneys-at-law, there is very little I can say concerning this matter before the Court. I AM INNOCENT OF THE CHARGES and in Jamaica, I should enjoy the PRESUMTION of being INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN guilty. The matter is before a court of law and not a court of public opinion. In this regard, legal tests and principles will be applied to determine truth and accuracy. Therefore, I call for patience and good sense to prevail while the Court makes a determination in the matter.”

By Crazy Katty Writer understands that dancehall deejay Deva Brat a member of the Portmore Empire was once again denied bail when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrates’ Court yesterday. Deva Brat will have his next date of daylight on May 26.

Deva Brat, whose real name is Sheldon Smith, lawyer was present at this hearing, however he still failed to get bail for the deejay due to lack of information. The police added that he invited her into his house where he assaulted her. Deva Brat has vehemently denied these allegations.

There is also similar case pending against the artiste that also involves a 14-year-old girl. There is concern on the streets that his second offense would automatically affect the previous bail bond on the first case. will continue to track this one, and bring you the latest as it happens

Just Like Clockwork, Mavado Keeps On Ticking

mavadogangstaforlife_bountykiller_sexnakedgirls.jpgThere is no stopping Mavado. Despite controversial media attention, the dancehall luminary remains the topic of positive conversation whether it is his generous donations for battered women, a customized dub for Barack Obama, his score on latest Grand Theft Auto video game or critical praise from the world’s most esteemed publications.

The latest Rolling Stone Magazine rates Mavado as the “Best Reggae Artist” in their Best of Rock 2008 issue. Mavado ranks amid this year’s crop of hand-picked winners such as, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Lil Wayne, Danger Mouse and Chris Brown. Rolling Stone journalist Evan Serpick raves, “If you think reggae died with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, think again. Jamaica's latest star, Mavado, combines hip-hop-influenced beats with ominous minor-key vocals about street life and salvation.”

Also Billboard Magazine recently applauded Mavado for gaining the attention of hip hop mogul, Jay-Z for his “On The Rock” remix. "For most Jamaican dancehall artistes, securing a successful rapper on a song's remix is a hard-won seal of approval. So when Jay Z, who has never recorded on a reggae track, rhymed on a remix of singer Mavado's current hit, On The Rock, it became arguably the greatest endorsement ever given to any dancehall record," Pat Meschino stated in the Billboard article picked up Reuters, the world's largest international multimedia news agency.
