Chaka Demus & Pliers are back on the Charts

ChakaDemus%26Pliers_sexygirls.jpgChaka Demus & Pliers' Need Your Loving single on the Explorer Records label imprint is slowly but surely inching its way up the Jamaican charts.

The song has been enjoying heavy rotation on the airwaves and in the dancehall - as music lovers embrace this latest effort from the popular duo who gave them Murder She Wrote, Twist & Shout and Tease Me, among others.

The music video for Need Your Loving, which was shot on location at Trafalgar Park and Airport Road under the direction of Leo, is centered around "everlasting love".

As the sweet strains of the single captivate its listeners, one can't help but get caught up in the lyrics and melody. Need Your Loving is definitely heading for the top of the charts.

In the meantime, the duo is now focused on re-releasing their album titled Back Off The Wall, which will feature tracks such as Bounce, Man A Lion and the hot single that seems set to create a lot of noise in the dancehall, Need Your Loving.

Success is nothing new for this dynamic duo. Chaka Demus and Pliers enjoyed overwhelming success on the British Charts. Between June 1993 and January 1995, they notched up a record five consecutive UK Top 20 entries, including Twist and Shout, their number one hit with Jack Radics. The duo became household names as a result; the combination of Pliers' yearning vocals and Chaka Demus' rock stone chat proving irresistible to their new found global audience, and earning them a gold disc for their debut album for Island Jamaica, Tease Me.

The jovial demeanour and strong moral character of John Taylor aka Chaka Demus and Everton Bonner aka Pliers provide a welcome contrast to the raga raga bad bwoy stereotype. When the two came together, their first collaboration was Gal Wine which enjoyed chart success. Chaka Demus & Pliers have not looked back as they kept going from strength to strength.

The world-renowned duo, now under new management of Explorer Entertainment, returns once again to recapture the hearts of music lovers.
